Why do you think that's the case?
I'd say its because Kellen Moore learned from the LInehan and Garrett tree. Its the same thing in the Roma era.....long developing routes.....rely on Romo's mobility in the pocket to extend plays and if he doesn't its a negative play.

Curl routes are long developing? Since when?
When your offensive line is not blocking well. Not only that but in that first picture they literally have their tight ends on one side of the field....and then wonder why Buddha Baker jumped the screen pass....gee...I wonder how he knew that was a screen pass? Maybe it was because all of the tight ends on the right side of the field?

Now could these stupidly simple pass routes explain why Dak has to hold the ball so long, or do check down passes so often ? I’ve noticed whenever they do instant replays on tv from behind the QB it seems no one is open and they are always covered.
