Where the actual Cowboys fans at?

Yeah. It’s called emotional insurance. If the Cowboys win, they’re happy. If the Cowboys lose, they find satisfaction in saying “I told you so.” In fairness, the other side does it, too. They always predict wins, and if the unthinkable happens, they can still say what good fans they are because they never stopped believing.
I predicted 12 wins and 2 playoff victories. I never stop believing because believing takes no extra effort from me at all. And it's illogical, to me, to give up on this team before they're actually eliminated. A slim chance is still a chance. That doesn't make me a good fan. It just means I have a logical based train of thought.

You don't take a beating then just give up. You see things through all the way to the end. Did America throw in the towel after Pearl Harbor? The point is this team has to play the games they're scheduled to play. And I'm going to watch and cheer them until there are no more games on the schedule. Capisce?

I preached early on let’s hold off on the anointing oil until we see how the Cowboys look when we get to December. Kellen Moore was being hailed a genius. As usual fans were getting carried away living in the moment. After the Denver loss there was a complete 360 on the board with fans wanting everyone fired. lol

True but teams hitting a lull or bump in the road over the course of a 16 and now 17 game season is pretty much the norm. I said before the season I expected 11 to 12 wins and also said at some point they would hit a bump in the road. None of this was coming as a shock. In terms of SB I have said we have the players to compete for that and I have not changed my stance on that. I will also say there are other teams out there just as capable, but yes I believe this team has the players to take it the whole way. Play the games and see how it all unfolds, that is all we can do as fans but yes I believe in this teams ability and won't shy away from it. Besides when you are constantly down playing you end up eating crow and I hate the taste of crow. lol

A few very disappointing games that had me mad at the world. At the end of the day we are in and healthy. Need to be on now.. problem is that I wanted us healthy and peaking. We are healthy but can’t tell if we are peaking..

The concerning thing with the Cowboys is they can look terrific one week and come back looking flat the next week. We saw a prime example of that after they blew out Washington and came back flat against Arizona the following week. They haven’t looked very good against good teams and good QBs. I was anything but impressed with our defense on Saturday night against the Eagles. We were getting manhandled up front by their backups. San Francisco will gash us all day if we can’t stop the run on Sunday. It will be very reminiscent of the Denver game if we’re not ready. It’s frustrating when you see the team put up a great performance one week and look terrible the next.

However, when we hit the bump against Denver we could never get back on track. The entire second half of the season has been a lull. We had 4 straight wins against average teams and QBs but none were impressive. We blew out Atlanta but came back the following week flat against KC. We blew out Washington and came back flat the following week against AZ. I really don’t know what to expect on Sunday against San Francisco.

There's probably thousands of fans on this board and we hear from about 20-30 who don't seem to like much about the modern day Cowboys. I wouldn't lose any sleep on this particular situation.

Nobody had the Cowboys winning 12 games preseason. I had them pegged at 10 and most places I saw were between 7 and 10 wins. We won 12.
o_O Not true. Many such as @gp_cowpolk & myself had this squad winning 12 + games in posts back in August when several threads asked about the the up coming seasons predictions.

Also, many (not mentioning who) had them @ 8-8 pumping their chest stating MM is worse than Garrett blah blah blah. There was a handful who gave Dallas only six wins as well.

Bottom line, it's the haters who made those idiotic predictions.

Crazy that fans of the #3 seed in the NFC can find so many reasons to delegitimize their own team. I honestly think there are fans (a bunch of them) that cannot wait for us to lose in the playoffs because they would rather say "I told you so" than to see Dak hoist the trophy... shameful

No one expected our offense to be #1, top 10 maybe, even the most optimistic top 5, but #1...

We all wanted our defense to be average to give the team a chance... but lead the league in turnovers? Our D was the reason we won a few games... I wouldn't have predicated that.

Why so down?
I'm right about here.

Both of them are at CCBoys house

fact is others play avg teams as well and often those games are very much competitive, Cowboys did what they were supposed to do vs those teams. KC that was going to be a tough game on the road, Dallas lost I make no excuses for it but knew going in that would be a hard game. Cards game for me was the most disappointing, close game but did not do enough to win. Philly game did nothing to make me feel better, Dallas did what I felt they would do.

As for San Fran and the playoff atmosphere, I'm curious to see how these guys respond especially the young players on this team who this is their 1st time playing in post season and how they respond to it. I feel they have the weapons and the ability to play with anyone and in a post season where it is 1 game winner take all and loser goes home players tend to focus in a lot more. We will see.

You're right, he's not correct. I and many others projected them at 12-5. There's a thread below to prove this claim

I predicted 13-4 Go Cowboys

I have screen shot of my predictions and they are close to what happened. I had them 13-4 with Dak winning both the MVP and Come Comeback player. #1 offense with a defense ranked between 7 and 11. My playoff prediction is shaping up nicely. *praying hands*

Most of these haters either don't like Dak because they are fans of only Romo, or another reason which I can't say here. There is no reason not to like Dak. He's a great guy who's a true fan of the team he commands, and his career is just getting started, so it makes no sense to say he never won the big one like Romo. I love Romo too, but I'm loyal to the Star and the Star only. When Emmitt left and when Roy Williams ended his career, I told him through the TV while he was on the ground, "you should've retired a Cowboy!" Dak enjoys being a Cowboy more than any player we have. He's our QB for many more years so I have his back! GO COWBOYS!!

I'm not down at all, I am optimistically cautious lol.

believe me, I'd LOVE to see them hoist a trophy, but same story seems to happen every so often, they get to the playoffs then can't go all the way or get close.

I am shell shocked to be honest after so long.

But I would love to see them win 4X in a row, starting now.

I had them at 11, and was laughed at for being a homer.

Good times. Lol

I think the defense makes this time around different.

However, a huge wart by the name of OFFENSE has arose and put a blemish on my confidence.

If the oline does its job the offense will hum, and sky is the limit.
