Colt McCoy beat them dinking and dunking and running bunch of screens in week 9. He did it without Hopkins. Connor and Kirk had a big game against them.

What else I noticed was that the Cards were able to get few turnovers by punching the ball out from the receivers. I think we'll get few turnovers in this game. We just need to take advantage of it when we do.

When talking about that Niner running attack we are obviously talking that smash mouth approach they take, some QB gaining 10 on a scramble totally different.

btw, I am not 100% disagreeing with you......smash mouth, or a Runnign QB, both tough...but its how you match up.

we are a finesse team on offense and finesse team on defense. I have argued that a lot during the year......when defenses play us physical we tend to struggle, specially our WR, that's why I will miss Gallup since he was our most physical WR....our OL is not as physical and has trouble getting a push, and we need to play more zone blocking scheme, which doesn't require smash mouth OL men like the old cowboys.

our defense is also finesse....so playing against the smash mouth style of offense niners play is going to be a challenge..

I just don't differentiate between different style of running, but its all about how your team matches up...

Same, I was hoping we would get Cardinals. I just don’t have a good feeling about the 49ers and their running game. They can pound it and keep our offense off the field. Our DLine needs to ready to go.

Playing the BUCS or Rams would've been a better matchup. I fear any team that commits to the run. Not only does SF commit to the run, but they are masters of running to the outside. I'm scared because if DLAW starts freelancing and cutting inside instead of setting the edge those mistakes will be multiple runs of 20+. Jimmy G is inconsistent and I don't fear him. He's got the tools to be great but he'll bonehead throws. We punish teams that make bonehead throws.
