12 personnel (and Pollard). With Jarwin now back in the fold, they have to get back to the package they were using early in the season...during the 6 - 1 run. They should dial this up against SF early,
if they have any designs on REALLY running the ball and hitting play action off of it. According to PFF they were using play action 50% of the time when they were in 12 personnel. All that changed when they lost Jarwin after Minnesota.
You will have to be methodical, patient and accurate in this package...with quick throws mixed with runs. It could be a slog early...given the 49ers d-line.
At the end of the day, the 49ers are gonna get rushing yards. You just have to try and find a way to limit the damage. However, the most important thing is for the offense to start off hot. A slow start and this thing could get away from the Cowboys. The Eagles ran for 150 but they still lost by 25 points. Granted the circumstances are going to be different given the receiving threats that SF possess, but I believe that the offense will have to carry the day on this one. Perhaps Garoppolo can be baited into throwing a couple to the defense but Dallas will need to find a way to exploit the SF secondary....the weakest area of their defense.
Prescott has to be able to make plays on the outside deep, when SF starts playing games with the safeties.
