The question should be: “Is there any reason to be optimistic about the future?”

Not until JJ dies. Then, maybe.

Is there any part of this team that gives you hope that they’ll achieve true success, as currently constructed? Not an individual or a specific unit on the team. But from a team perspective, what is there to cling to?

In the next 5 years, do you have any amount of hope that they’ll find a way to win when it matters?

If so, please tell me what helps you find optimism… these season enders are tough to swallow.

This is an ill times post. Ask again before the draft or after.

On the heels of this loss not many will be pumping rainbows.

I’ve always been more of a homer, but this was it for me. They’re going to have to actually win something to get me back onboard. I’m not from Missouri, but they’re going to have to show me,

Nope.

We won’t win a Super Bowl anytime I can see.

It is so hard to do even with a more talented team, but add leading the league in penalties and the task becomes almost impossible.
Yeah I dont see the cowboys ever winning a super bowl again. Its a franchise thing, They don’t know how to. Same results different cast of characters

Nope. I’m optimistic by nature but this was the shot. For years. I plan to keep watching but this team probably doesn’t even win the NFCE for years. About to lose a huge relevant portion of the roster and coaches too, if there be a god.

There's no future for this organization. We committed 120M to a QB that never carried the team and now age will catch up to some of the good veterans.

I found out about an hour before the game that my aunt had a stroke......a few hours earlier I found out that my brother tested positive for the C word....so, this game is just a game....

Sorry to hear that Ranch, prayers hugs and much love to you and all your family.

It's only going to get worse for awhile.

Dak's contract will make sure that we can't field as good a team next year as this year.

Our best bet is to use these next 3 years to rebuild and have a solid team ready for a real QB to take over once Dak's contract is up.

Get a new OC, draft OL, and RB and we have a chance. Our interior OL is average at best and our starting RB is too slow to get majority of snaps. The inexperience at OC was very noticeable against better DCs once they had tape on his offense in the second part of the season.
Good thoughts. Although I am dumbfounded they didn’t get pollard at least 15 touches. We also need a small slot rcvr that can get open quick over the middle.

This was the window. Anybody that knows anything about football knows that. The window is closed.

Hope? Not really. Too many high priced, over-hyped, under-performing players on the team. Clearly not enough discipline and focus from the coaching staff.

I think we can probably compete for another NFCE title— but having any hope this QB and this group of players does anything in the playoffs? Nah.

They dun crapped the bed too many times for me to change the sheets. They can sit in their mess and figure it out. To me— they are gonna have to go uphill next year to accomplish anything— and I think this L has gutted the franchise. What a crap show

not a whole lot of hope for the future but being in the nfc east the cowboys will always have a chance to be a .500 club every year. just not good enough to be a winning playoff team.

There is no hope. We have an idiot GM/owner who grossly overpays players who underperform and hires coaches based on how comfortable they make him We are a soft team from top to bottom. We have been for the last 26 years and will continue to be for as long as the Jones family runs this as a family business.

Probably won’t pay much attention for the next few seasons until the team has a new identity I can hitch my wagon to.

To answer the OP, no. This is who the cowboys are and will be even after Jerry dies. Maybe one of his grandkids will salvage something out of the franchise in twenty years.
