Everyone hating on Dak? What's your plan "B"?

Dak's latest health issues, some are using the (lame) excuse of a calf injury this season to justify his bad performances, I mean if the calf was that bad why the heck is he playing meaningless games late in the season? but as 2020 showed, Dak as any other player is 1 play away from a season ending injury.

So, 3 more years stuck with his average QB .... there must be a plan B regardless and the fact that there is none is scary.

Unfortunately the short term window of opportunity is now closed. The team has some significant roster issues to deal with going into next season and it is pretty much a certainty that the overall talent on offense will be lower than it has been since Dak became the starter.

I would tell Dak that I want to move on from him and ask him to accept a trade. If he agrees I try and make that happen, as unlikely as it may be to actually find someone willing to take him and the contract. Can't hurt to try.

If I am fortunate enough to trade Dak I bring in a journeyman place holder, focus on rebuilding the line and finding my next legit QB prospect.

If Dak refuses the trade or I can't find a partner then Dak becomes my overpaid place holder and I go forward with the rebuild and QB search. In this scenario it is very likely that Dak at some point finds himself on the bench watching the young prospect getting starting QB snaps.

Plan B? Draft? Same place we got Dak right?

I wouldn’t suggest a different QB, but these takes are always silly.

Trades, signings, drafts…these things happen in the off-season. I’m sure Rams fans said the same thing about Goff, “if not Goff, what’s the plan?”

Tell the front office to stop falling in love and overpaying mediocre talent.

There is no plan B. That is the problem. I think the logical step from here is to can Boy Wonder and try to get an OC that can maximize what Dak can do. I see coaching staffs all around the league doing more with less so it is time we go find that guy to help us.

At what point are you gonna cine to terms with this fact . . . No matter what play you call Dark will go through His Progressions and still dump the ball off to the RB outlet . . . aka

ANY PLAY THAT THE OC (WHOEVER THAT MAYBE) CALLS WILL EVENTUALLY BECOME THE SAME BROKEN DOWN PLAY.

That makes the Whole team look bad as Dak attempts to execute SAID PLAY from ANY OC living on the face of the Earth . . . Pick any offensive genius who ever lived and that Man will be ran out of Dallas in 2 years

As the Cowboys search for answers

Plan b is play Washington and the Giants every game

Or the Chargers, Vikings, Saints, and Buccaneers. He had great games against these teams, unfortunately he wasn't able to play defense to stop Brady from a game winning drive.

I noticed you conveniently left off the Eagles too. Why, because their playoff status messed up your agenda? LOL!!!

It's pretty simple. Draft the first good prospect you can get. I know Dak's contract is a problem but nothing can change that anyway.

This has been Dallas long before Dak was here. So what's your Dak solution then? @0 years, No Dak. Same or far worse endings. Here's your chance. And don't say Rush. Because then we will know you're just a tool. My solution? Hire a real coach and go from there. Let the new coach hire his own staff also. Not a Jerry Jones next favorite feel good friend.

So NOW...in order to criticize Dak...it's ME that has to have a plan B?

You think a new staff fixed Dak? Wow great plan!

Your stuck with Dak.

I told you guys that was a awful deal and a lot of you applauded as it happened.

I don’t know what we will do going forward but the Dak contract makes things worse because he’s not a guy that can carry a team. He’s a guy that gets carried by the team.

Uh, Jerry let MM hire his own staff...except Clapper 2.0 Moore.

There is no plan B. Dak is our starting QB, period. That is guaranteed for the foreseeable future. I suggest getting a play caller who calls what Dak and the receivers do best on third downs and saving the genius X’s and O’s For other downs.

If you cut Dak now and make him a post June 1st cut...his dead money for the next 4 years is 34.5m, 14.5m, 14.5m and 14.5m...if we draft a QB in the 1st round this draft it will be a later pick and it won't kill us on the cap and we could make it work when you would look at the total money allocated to the QB position...If we hit on a QB we would essentially be wasting his rookie deal because of Dak dead money but i think it would be more than worth it if he pans out

Go get Kirk Cousins. At least he gets the ball to his weapons. Eagles gave up on Wentz, Rams Gave up on Goff. You gotta know when something has run its course

They were able to trade them away . . Eagles made out . . . While the Lions got the kings ransom for taking that contract.

But the Colts were in win now mode and The Rams wanted a stud to Led their team

We are stuck Because even if we luck out with a Low Rd QB or if any of these young QBs on the roster improves . . . They will be at a disadvantage because the WR corps is about to be decimated and Offensive Line will also be a Priority in the coming years.

I Don t see Lamb being a Factor if we lose Cooper Gallup and maybe we keep Wilson but who knows?

And if we only have Lamb and Wilson . . . teams will just shut them down like they use to do Bryant & Beasley

This team is gonna be a wreck the next 2 years

My hopes lie with Will Grier if a QB should be needed to step up. . . I hope He improves

Draft one and get rid of him.

Hes regressed, big time

Scared to throw unless a guy is WIDE OPEN, and he's even missing those guys too often.

He made 1 , ONE , NFL throw tonight of significance into a tight window.
We've been hoodwinked
He’s been this way since college…dude has happy feet and can’t read a defense. Nothing has changed or will change with his game.

Cousins is a much better QB than Dak.
First and foremost he's more accurate and I think that matters for a QB? :muttley:

You want to compare Dak to someone.....start with Tim Tebow as their styles are pretty much the same.
And his Ceiling is Vince Young. . . when He is playing the NFC East.

We’ve lucked in 15 years of good QB play between Romo and Dak. Neither guy was picked out of necessity to be “the guy”.

Many franchises spend decades going through first round pick after first round pick looking for their guy. Dak Prescott is better than ANY QB that has put on a Chicago Bears uniform in the lifetime of anyone on this forum. The idea that we should just cut him loose, suck for a few years and grab a first round QB is insane.
Prescott isn’t the answer.

he’s essentially a Bears quarterback, or Texans. Take your pick. This team isn’t going anywhere with him. You can put it in granite.
