The bottom line is Dak didn't deliver

23-7 - the score entering the 4th quarter
27.1. Daks QBR for game
1-3. Dak's career playoff record

We can blame MM.....the refs......bottom line is that Dak didn't deliver. The players play the game and no cowboy was more underwhelming than Dak Prescott. He could not get the offense moving until SF was basically in a prevent defense.

Its on to season 7 for Dak. I hope this performance will linger in our collective memories so we can have fewer arguments next season over who this guy is. He is gutless and not a big game QB. He pads his stats against bad teams and playing catch-up against prevent defenses.

So next year when he torches the Giants for 500 yards and 8 TDs, anyone who starts posting about how great he is should be automatically considered a buffoon.

Soon he'll be given the Romo mid career treatment when the once regarded O-line falls apart and gets slowly rebuilt.
When Adams, Kosier, Gurode, Davis and Colombo started to decline we got the "treat" of Romo having to take even more hits.

Smith is showing his "age" in football years, the LG/Center are just JAGs and Martin is still elite but no longer that demi god and Collins is in decline.

you can blame Dak....everyone will have someone to blame to make themselves feel better. but this all comes down to the GM. this is the product the GM put together. the players, the coaches, the OC, the contracts. the culture...

and lets say you are right. its Dak. now what? you feel better? is that all you want!@? "hey I was proven right!!!".....what are we going to do? what's next...do you have a plan? realistic plan. not fantasy football.

I don't give a d@mmn about Dak, Cooper, MM, Moore, or anybody else on this team. as a fan I want a team that doesn't shrink in the big moment. a culture of a winner, not excuse makers...

this is the House Jerry built. so if you want to blame anyone. Blame Jerry, because right now, we can't get rid of Dak, Zeke due to the contracts. we got several bloated contracts like Lawrence, Smith, Collins, Martin, Cooper. and we have a team that lays eggs in big moments against good teams.

this is nothing new...its been the way for 26 years

Seems like Buffalo, KC and Cincinnati have done a good job of this so far. :(

1. Brady
2. Rodgers
3. Mahomes
4. Allen

Those are the elite QB’s.

One comes along every 5 years or so. Not easy to get when every team wants one.

The Dak era needs to be over or he needs to give back half of his salary so we have a chance to compete.

The Jones’s are morons for that deal.

There were a few of us that said the contract was just very stupid (you being one of them). I don't think I said it on this message board, but I did say it. They almost made the correct choice with Dak and they didn't. Only hope now is that he's angry enough he agrees to a trade or waiting it out two more years as looking at his contract they can get out without a hit in two more years, but I may be looking at it wrong. This is why you need a real GM, a real GM would have offered Dak what he is worth and used his or her leverage. The Cowboys gave up and just gave in and now we are here. We had options before he was signed, now we really have none. Elliot needs to go as well. But, at least Elliot at a time was a top 3 if not the best back in the league. Dak's been this guy his whole career and the team is going to get worse after this year, not better in my opinion.

Are you able to admit you was wrong about Dak?

If a qb falls this draft I want to take him. At least give us some hope to develop a guy for the future. If dak isn't happy about it he can play better. Hell is happened to jimmy G and Aaron Rodgers and both took it personally

you need to have a top 10 pick and get lucky....
Burrow was first over all pick...same draft had Tua, Herbert, Hurts, Love.....as much as people love Herbert. he hasn't made playoffs yet. he has a loaded team
Allen was 3rd QB chosen...Mayfield and Darnold and rosen flaming out.
Mahomes was second QB chosen. Turbiskey went first.watson is a rapist.

so about 4 out of 5 QBs in first round fail....does it mean you don't try? no, that's why QBs are always reached.....until you hit one. it will take severral tries...based on the odds.

so its easy to point to those that worked out...but don't forget 4 others didn't.

This is a good point, if a good QB falls in the first, second or third, snatch him up. If he beats Prescott out, so be it. If Prescott can't handle that he can waive the no trade clause.

What Dak is paid had no bearing on how he played yesterday. The same level of play would’ve been there yesterday even if he was making 1/2 as much. And don’t say what he’s making is preventative the team from getting better talent. That might be, probably will be, true in the future, but it wasn’t true yesterday or this season.

Youre right. Which is why it’s disappointing because this year was our best chance at a Super Bowl and we were 1 and done.

Dak Prescott
23 43 254 1 1 69.3

Actually those were the numbers to be exact but in the grand scheme of things 69.3 isnt all that much better than 27.1. 69.3 and 50% completion wont win you many regular season games, never mind playoffs.

yes. I thought he would be better than this. based on last year and earlier this year and then he just went south very quickly.

your point? again is all you want to be right? sounds like it.....or you care about cowboys at all?
I wanted to be wrong about Dak, but I didn't forget how much I was attacked by you and your buds for thinking Dak wasn't a top QB.

You admitted you was wrong though and that's more than some of the others have done.

I care about the Cowboys. That's why I will continue to ridicule the players and coaches on this team that are making my favorite team a laughing stock.

Why was Dak firing balls 10 feet over CeeDee's head on those 3-4 out patterns??? Dak was a deer in head lights out there. Throwing behind receivers, taking 4 plus seconds on nearly EVERY throw. I'm done w/ Dak and I was his biggest fan.

It is not easy but it starts with someone capable of recognizing that kind of talent and ceiling. I think you are about to have to add Joe Burrow to that list. But, none of the guys you have listed as elite were the first QB taken on the board. We all know Brady's story. Rodgers lasted until the 24th pick. Mahomes was the 11th pick. Josh Allen was the 3rd QB taken. The Dallas Cowboys haven't used a first round pick on a Qb since 1989. We got lucky with Romo who underachieved but had all the tools. Dak doesn't have all the tools and comes with a much lower ceiling. But, I understand the salary cap and I know we are stuck with him.

They way you win with Dak Prescott is by turning him back into the bus driver QB he was in his rookie year, and building the defense. He should be focused on moving the chains by any means necessary.
