I know many want MM's job, But the team's worst problems are on the offense. KM is OC and is closest to those problems. Why would the OC not do something about this horrible penalty problem? Think of how many drives were killed by penalties! Not only is Moore's play calling really questionable, but the OC is obviously doing very little to curb that penalty problem.
If KM told MM "hey, we need to clamp down on this stupid penalty problem now", there's no way MM would disagree. But KM doesn't have what it takes to clamp down on anything. He's too soft. But he's Jerry's guy, and MM got stuck with him. Jerry's going to stand up for KM and MM knows it.
KM's offense was disorganized, and reeked for lack of discipline, and because of Jerry's thing for KM, MM is stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Am I being too lenient on MM? Maybe, but DON'T underestimate KM's share of the blame.

Also if he did promote Quinn to Head Coach. I wonder could he get his own OCoordinator or would Jerry want him to stick with Moore? Being that Jerrry made Moore OC for McCarthy.

Should he be fired? Yes. Will he? No. Because firing him would mean that Jerry made a mistake in hiring him in the first place. Jerry has too much pride to admit he was wrong.

The problem goes deeper than head coach. It won’t matter who we hire. The problem is at the core of this franchise and that core is the Jones family. So no, I’m not for firing Big Mike. Any continuity at all we can develop can only help. What we DO need is an overhaul of the line play, both sides of ball, and to purge the roster of the over paid, unproductive players.

I’m in this camp: who are they going to identify that is better?

I don’t think the Jones twins can identify a promising young coach. They prefer 1) comfortable , 2) proven retread.

Would like to say Yes but there is no one out there available that we could hire that would make a difference... Jerry will just hire a "yes man" again... I would rather Jerry look in the mirror and fire the "GM", but that will not happen...LOL

I’m a no and it’s not because I’m a huge MM supporter. He’s an average to good coach. He’s not a great coach. That said his first year was a covid riddled season and this year the team won 12 games. Again, our bar is set higher as fans but the reality is that his next season (year 3) is his most important year and will tell me everything I need to know.

we need to build off this year and this disappointment and come back win the division, beat good teams and win playoff games. If we can have some sustained success and build off this year I’ll feel optimistic about where we are going- but he deserves the chance in a very pivotal year 3.

we always have a good year then a down year. Come back next season ( I know the cap stuff etc) and have a great year if not get rid of him.
