This makes sense. If anyone can turn Dak into a better Qb, its Sean Payton, and this team is going nowhere until Dak gets better. Payton loves Dallas. He loves the Jones family. The cost of luring him to Dallas was too high in 2019, but Payton has only 1 year left on his contract.

I can see a likely scenario where MM comes up short next year and Jones quickly moves on to Payton. I'd rather it happen this year, but we would probably have to send NO some compensation. I just don't see Jerry passing on Payton if there is an opportunity to get him.

Jerry hired ONCE a non-YES man called Bill Parcels and the only reason for this was to get the financing to build his new stadium.
The only reason Payton comes and works in Dallas is to get his final massive retirement check.
No coach with any value will come and work in Dallas having Jerry and Sons over their heads playing GM......

Moore is in Year 3 as an OC, with way more of an up side than year 6 Dak. No OC can help a QB that sucks at going through his progressions period. You can’t our-scheme every defensive alignment, your QB has to make throws when WRs find holes in it.

People acting like Dak still has upside if they can just get Sean Payton, while completely ignoring the facf Moore has way more upside than this mediocrity as a QB that still suffers from the same flaws since his draft profile was written.

If Cooper Rush can find Cooper, Lamb and Wilson in his first start on 4 years under Moore, it’s probably more accurate to say the suckage is way more from the QB than the OC.

thats not what the tape shows. Warner did a great breakdown going into depth about how crappy the play designs were vs zone. He also discussed how bad the qb was. I’m not defending Dak here. I’m just saying Moore sucks too. That’s unarguable.

They have......signed Kellen Moore......and he gave you the #1 offense in the league...and it's still not good enough. Problem was...McCarthy didn't have this team ready to play.....and they have been undisciplined his entire tenure.

I agree about Moore to a certain degree but when the Cowboys face a well coached defense that’s had a week to prepare that “ 1 offense “ score nine against KC scores 17 against SF and is down 30-0 zip to a really mediocre 7 win Denver club . The “ 1 offense “ racked up a 140 points in three games two against Philly one Washington and scored 40 plus in one game vs NY. It’s nice to have friends in the NFC East .

The reason Kellen Moore will be a HC and the media talk him up is because the people that actually know football are not holding it against him that Dak is his QB.

They are thinking "This guys had the #1 offense in the NFL with Dak Prescott as his QB. He MUST be great".

The next OC will suffer the same fate as Linehan and Moore with the Dallas Prescott fans.
