Ya'll remember his "some are going to be really uncomfortable at Valley Ranch"? That was his veiled comment about the coaches. They fired some assistant to an assistant to an assistant coach that not only did we not know he was on the team, his own family didn't know.

Why in the hell would Quinn want to stay here?

And while he is throwing around those veiled threats, he might want to consider that his defense, the Quinn coached one, couldn't stop the one weapon everyone knew the Niners would use, were sloppy tackling, had too many penalties and gave up 23 points a home.
You think giving up 23 points in playoff game is a poor reflection on the defense? Especially when one of the TDs was on a short field?

Jerry Jones really does not understand the first thing about roster building. The roster may look good at the top but the problem is that once you get past the top the people below are just not good. It is great to have strengths but when you have as many glaring weaknesses as the Cowboys do (3/5 of OLine being bad, poor TE blocking, multiple holes in front 7, a secondary that is not good in coverage) you are going to get exploited by good teams and that happened over and over during the season and happened again in the playoffs.

The solution is to actually get better in the mid-to-late rounds and stop having all these boom or bust prospects just because having the occasional boom feels good. Getting okay players is how you win games. Not every player needs to have all pro potential. Sometimes just being a okay starter is good enough.
Can't agree with that although I thought so big time during the Garrett years.

I think they did a pretty good job at building more depth everywhere.

The fatal flaw was trying to feature Daks arm. He needs to bus drive around a solid run game.

They either don't see it that way or Moore has been telling Jerry what he wants to hear and he falls for it.

How is this worse than last year or the year before? Or any of the SB or bust years where we went 8-8 lol?
Because we did not win a playoff game this year like the years we did not make the playoffs.

I don't remember seeing their punter much. At one point they scored on every possession....if Jimmy G was able to hit open receivers and not throw a stupid pick the game really would've been out of control. But thanks to that it gives us false hope that this defense was different but ultimately the defense fell victim to the same thing past teams have fell victim to. Can't stop the run under Maranelli, can't stop it under Nolan and still can't stop it under Quinn. We were lead to believe this was because of Jaylon but personnel has changed and issues remain the same. This defense is useless if they can't figure that out because every time isn't going to play to our strength's...

do it jerry

it is easy to talk yourself into another year of mccarthy and it would be a mistake

he is not the guy this team need and u know it

a “win now” coach who cant win = no sense!
That's right. I've been pointing out for a while that he was NOT brought here to rebuild.

Just because he lowered his own bar significantly last year doesn't mean 12-6 is some massive improvement.

He basically tossed away the window on the current group and Jerry knows this is the best shot they would have for a while due to the cap.

Who should replace him?
That's the question.

I wouldn't mind Flores one bit. I feel like he's a hard nosed guy that can change the culture. He coaches his team to wins in games they shouldn't win. I like that.

Other than that, I haven't paid much attention to what's out there because I just reserved myself to another year with McCarthy, but if things become real then I'll look more into what's available and will have a better answer for you.

Not if Jerry watched Kurt Warner’s analysis.

He may have watched it as well.

Thus, the rant about the coaches.
Thing about Jerry though is he wants to be the smartest in the room. If he actually was it would be something i'd admire. But he hasn't.

Former cowboys calling out The cowboys.

Jimmy Johnson.

So happy for it. Truly am. It’s about dam time someone embarrassed JJ. Sounds like he’s taking it to heart
I am thankful for them doing it. The media should be laser focused on Jones and ridiculing him accordingly.

Fantasy ticket and merchandising boycotts mean nothing to him. Observers are seeing the reaction he is getting from others critiquing his oversight directly or indirectly. He is having a hissy fit. THIS is how you have any chance of motivating a narcissist into doing what he does not want to do.
