good question...I'm thinking it must be against man coverage

I'm thinking something changed. For sure we started seeing more cover 2, but it wasn't exclusive. The niners also went back and forth between man and zone I believe. Dak lost his confidence. I can't imagine film study and how coaches would handle seeing him pass on looks like that. Whoever is in his ear needs to go. Sure Dak deserves blame, but if I'm the coach I'm telling him to throw that damn ball and if we gets picked so be it. You have to take shots. That's why we operate better in the hurry up. He's takes those shots. Why we couldn't bottle that and utilize it more is beyond me. Dak is going nowhere, so they better get a staff that can find first 6 games Dak.

3 of the same routes all run differently and sloppily. Can't imagine why they are inc...

That 2nd one is clearly on Dak. Kurt covers it around 23:30 in the video. "Ball still in hand" "it's got to be out." "Corner is jumping all over it" because, "throw is late."

I'm not sure if this was posted somewhere but I know some have commented about it in other threads, so I watched it and wanted to share it with those who haven't seen it.

Kurt Warner is saying:

1. Kellen Moore doesn't know how to design a High/Low play against Zone coverage

2.
Dak Prescott doesn't truly understand his reads based on the play he's running, doesn't pick up hots against the blitz, he struggles or fails to read the Mike LB or the Safety and he's holding the ball too long resulting in bad throws and sacks.

The examples in his analysis are so concerning that if Kurt Warner is right you have to move on from Kellen Moore or at least get him educated against the Zone and if Dak doesn't improve you have to consider your options with him too. I don't see how anyone (the Jones family or McCarthy) would disagree unless they think Kurt Warner is wrong. Watch it for yourselves it's scary..lmk what you guys think

"First one Tyron got pushed into Dak as he was throwing, the other 2 he was covered tight. One of them the CB was looking at Dak and had Dak anticipated that throw it would have been a pick 6. Bad examples."

Agreed with Twitter poster. He gets its 90% better than most here. He sees not only what's going on with the WR but also the QB prior to the pass being thrown (pass protection). Something many here refuse to do due to their personal agendas.

I think because Dak can't trust where he is going to be breaking. It is different every time.

Kurt has never had to deal with this level of futility from wrs.

Kurt Warner disagrees with your take on the 2nd throw. He covers it around 23:30 of the video.

Just shows you guys don't know when the ball is supposed to come out either.

He does that, go watch the video, he'll show you how Dak holding the ball and not making the right reads is getting him sacked.

Looks to me like Kellen Moore's offense sucks. QB's miss throws and reads all the time during games. You could pick out any QB and take a handful of plays.

heck that VERY first example where he said the read was to goto Shultz on the backside 1 on 1? Shultz wasnt even close to open. The guy had him completely blanketed. So is Kurt saying just heave the ball up no matter what and hope for the best?

Moore needs to be replaced and the new guy needs to get on the same page with both the QB and the receivers.

But the #1 problem with this offense is the Oline. Until that is fixed it wont matter who the OC is and who the QB is.

It's not only Dak failing to pick up the Mike LB movement during certain plays, it's also the WRs. It's clear they all are not being coached to alter their routes based on the movement of the Mike LB during certain plays. That falls on the O-Coordinator, QBs coach and WRs coach. Jerry has noticed this and even mentioned his frustrations today against these coaches because of these issues not getting addressed and fixed during the season. Posts around here would be so much better to read if many understood this.

These were my thoughts exactly unless he was seeing mostly man coverage early in the season... that during the time off with the Calf injury Dak or his QB coach, or Moore decided to attack it another way and failed

That's why we're talking about it...something is way off. The play at the 20:00 minute mark , when the Safety turns his hips he's gotta hit that deep crossing pattern.
Dak's not even looking for it, that's weird for week 19

No one has mentioned that in every single case that Warner talked about the scheme, it was a completed pass. That's not to say things can't be improved, but it also looks like a way to not come exclusively at the QB.

Tell me this- if the QB struggles to read a defense, what can you do as a coordinator to simplify it while remaining competitive.

Dalton Shultz is wide open on the opening play...Now watch minutes 20-35

That's not a calf injury and you'll find the more game tape you watch it's extremely common for him to miss downfield windows in zone coverage.
