Will Jerry waste yet another career in Micah?

There are plenty of HOFers who never even sniff a SB. The great Joe Thomas, a future HOF OT, never even played in a playoff game. Careers are only wasted in the eyes of fans.

If SB is the goal maybe it's only another 25 years away.

LVE was terrific his rookie season and fell off after that. However he played pretty good this season and made some plays against San Francisco in the playoffs but fans are still trashing him. DWare was a diamond amongst trash. When he put up 20 sacks in 2008 the next closest player had 7. Not hard to neutralize one player when you don’t have anyone else. Fans will start to turn against Parsons if his sack totals drop off and we’re not winning enough games. If we start losing games and he goes a couple of weeks without making an eye-popping play some fans will start dogging him. Book it!

He set the bar very high for himself this past season and fans expectations of him are through the roof. Any slight decline in his play will draw the ire of some fans. This is a very frustrated fan base. Parsons is the only good player we have that hasn’t taken some criticism from fans this season. It’s going to happen next season if his play comes down or he makes any mistakes and we’re struggling. Mark my words. Every player from Dak, CeeDee, Zeke, Tyron, DLaw and Amari are getting roasted by fans.
I think Parsons will be better next year. He had an awful lot on his plate this year for a rookie. I don't remember too many guys playing that many different positions, & playing them well.

I'm betting he'll come back stronger, & much smarter, next year. If he can settle in to a position, & master it, he has the potential to be great.

It’s going be tough for him to out do what he did this past season. Opponents will be much more prepared for him next season. The team around him might not be good enough for him to take an even higher step. We’re going to be losing some players. We’ll see how the Cowboys utilize him next season. Dan Quinn may not be here and that could change some things.

That depends on where he plays. I doubt the long term plan for him, is on the D-line. If he is able to focus at linebacker, I think he'll excel there. Might not have as many sacks, but he'll still have a huge impact. Plus it's harder to scheme for him at linebacker, than on the line. He's more elusive in space, than lining up across from an O-lineman.

I like the idea of having him rush the QB in certain situations but keeping him at LB most of the time where he can use his sideline to sideline playmaking ability. He can be taken out of too many plays as an edge rusher. We have to be able to stop the run. We could have an issue at LB if LVE leaves.

It’s not a wasted career if you make hundreds of millions and end up in HOF.

This notion that every great player who doesn’t win a championship that their careers were wasted is juvenile.

If these players don’t want their careers wasted, they need to step up and lead the team to winning. There have been chances, and the players have failed. It’s not all on Jerry.

So he'll flip around head coaches for a few more years just because he wants his wonderboy (Garrett 2.0) as head coach. MM should be gone....payton is just another parcell retread. Running the team like an excutive business is just not working....analytics, nepotism, favoritism, training non qualified people for head coach positions like mr. wonderboy and ole' RED.......we see how that works out...you could put parsons in the ring of honor already.....the ring of wasted careers....I have this feeling....and we all know why

If by wasted you mean win a ring?

Yeah bro, aint nobody winning a ring in Dallas so Micah should just sign elsewhere when his rookie contract expires if he wants a ring, just like Demarcus Ware had to.

Parsons should take the Dware route. Make your millions playing for the Boyz and then when you get close to the end of your career, go sign with a true contender to get your ring.

Aint nobody winning rings in Dallas bro.

All Micah represents to Jerry is jersey sales. Jerry is near the top of the Forbes most valuable franchise list so in his mind he is winning.

Most players in the NFL aren’t winning rings. It’s only a few franchises that win championships each era.

I don’t recall such rhetoric from fans in prior eras where fans thought a career was wasted unless won a championship.

Honest question Diehard. As much as you hate Jerry and always talking about how dysfunctional this organization is how we are never going to win anything under Jerry, which is true btw, not saying you are wrong.

Just curious why you still are a fan? Why keep up with the Cowboys and post on message boards when you hate Jerry so much and know we are not going to win anything. Seems like just a big flustration for you, so why bother. Why do you still care?

LIke I said, just an honest question, not saying you are wrong in any of your comments about Jerry.

I’m like most local fans . We hate how our current owner runs our beloved franchise. Don’t have to approve or like of all the moving pieces to support the sum.

He wasted the career of Jeff Heath /close thread.

What about Brian Anger . He completes a pass a tight spiral for a first down …bangs one off Jerry’s tv on the ceiling on purpose. Punters like this don’t come around often .
