What a wasted year this will be

there are literally no great QBs in the NFC now with Brady retiring and Rodgers likely going to Denver

Would have been great to fire McCarthy, get Payton and have lost season success

but no, idiot Jerry will saddle up with the same coaching staff and hope to find the pot of gold under the rainbow

That looks like a hard schedule to me: Packers at Lambeau, Vikes, Titans in their house, Two teams in the Conference Championship game the year before. Good luck!

When it's all said and done Sean Payton will be here after the season ends at $10 million a year.

Let's state the obvious: barring injuries, if the Cowboys don't win a minimum of 12 games next season, it will be a disaster. It's not unreasonable to think they could win 15. Why? They have hit the trifecta of playing against the three worst divisions in the NFL next season (NFC-East x2, NFC-Central and AFC South). On top of that, two of their most challenging opponents (TB and GB) are facing rebuilds because of giant changes at QB (it's 50/50 Rodgers returns to GB) and cap issues. And their 17th game, albeit against the Bengals, will be at home this time.

After surveying the evolving landscape of the NFC next season, the teams competing against the Cowboys for the top seed will be precious few: LA Rams and maybe Arizona. The 49ers will most likely be moving on to Trey Lance, essentially a rookie. GB would start Jordan Love. TB will start ??? And I really don't see any up and coming teams to replace them.

Sure, say I'm looking at this through homer-tinted glasses, but look at the schedule and tell me where I'm wrong. (The AFC, however, will be a beast next year!!!)

Home: Eagles, Giants, Washington, Bears, Lions, Bucs, Colts, Texans, Bengals

Away: Eagles, Giants, Washington, Packers, Vikings, Rams, Jaguars, Titans

The landscape of the NFC at the moment is very favorable for the Cowboys. The Bucs (assuming Brady actually retires) and Green Bay should not be juggernauts next year and that leaves Dallas a golden opportunity. Do I think they will cease that opportunity? History would say no, but stranger things have happened.

If any coach can win the NFC East back to back it's Mike McCarthy.

Well, he's not the only one, but even if you are kidding, his resume says it's true. Four straight division titles with Green Bay from 2011-14. (Funny thing is they won the Super Bowl in 2010, when they were second in the division.)

I see at least 5 losses before we even get to our division..........Titans, Rams, Packers, Bengals, Colts.

Now throw in that we have an offensive coordinator that cant understand why the plays he runs on Madden dont work in an actual NFL game and we have a head coach that is more concerned about downloading the newest Whataburger app on his phone than cleaning up penalties.

I am thinking 10-7 at best.

No I dont know anything and neither do any of you. I'm noot going to call dude fat Mike, I'm not going to pretend I know what Kellen Moore's going to do. and MY Qb
well , you don't get to be a top ten qb, with a record of 12-5 throwing dirt balls all over the field. Hyperbole and outright lies are a dead give a way to a weak stance, held by a weak mind.

Well, they lost to almost all the good/playoff teams they played this year….and they will lose some decent free agents….and still have MM and KM and a bad oline….I don’t think they sweep nfce again…here’s where you’re wrong - they lose to Eagles once, Washington once, and also lose to Bucs, Colts, Bengals, Packers, Rams, and Titans. I respect that you said you were looking through homer-tinted glasses. I wasn’t…lol.

We don’t know the difficulty of the schedule until we see what type of team we have. If we suck the schedule will be hard. If we are good, the schedule will be easy.

We can go undefeated in the regular season and I still wouldn't have faith in this team heading into the playoffs. My therapist says 6 more sessions and I'll be over my pessimism.
My exact words to an Egals fan when asking me if I was excited seeing Dallas win 6 straight in week 7.

You must be new here

There are plenty of blind coolaid drinkers like you apparently are but there are also some sensible fans who deal in logic and common sense

Logic and common sense? You guys expected a Super Bowl run after an Historically bad Year defensively? After 8-8 Garrett ? We are building Something here,

I'm just willing to see how it turns out before I call my team a cluster. That's all. I don't agree with every move the team makes. But seeing as I can do nothing about it

I'm not going to whine and urinate all over the place

drinking the kool aid ? I should say NOT

12-5 and I want to see how we improve. It's you who is drinking the Kool Aid My Friend
