And put us out of this misery. It should be very instructional to the Cowboys brain trust that this team had the #1 scoring offense and the #1 offense in yards and yet nobody is interested in hiring the architect of that greatness. They were also #1 in yards and #6 in scoring in 2019, his first season. And I believe they were #1 in both categories in 2020 before Dak got hurt. Up until this year we blamed the defense for not reaching the mountain top with all this great offense going on.. But what we learned this year, and really should have known all along, is that this offense pads its numbers against patsies and mostly fall flat when facing the big boys. Good DCs can handle this offense and it becomes a matter of the guys being super human for it to succeed. Obviously that's no way to make a living.

These aint the 90's Cowboys.. Those guys could go super human even against good teams.. hell against other GREAT teams.. and make no mistake.. those 90's Packers, 49ers and Bills were great teams.. The Cowboys were just greater. But those guys don't play for this team. These guys need help .. in the form of the OC.. and the bottom line is I don't think Mr. Yards are Yards is the answer. He doesn't want to run the ball.. he doesn't want to feature one receiver or focus on favorable matchups. He wants to "take what the defense gives us.." Which works when the defense sucks.. but good defenses give you crap.. And you can have all the crap you want.. cause you aint winnin no games with it.

I wonder about Jerry's influence on this.

I'd guess he wants to feature Dak to justify the contract, and Moore is a yes man to Jerry.

"Creativity" isn't about trick plays.....it's about outscheming your opponent...and more importantly being able to adjust after they do.

When the oppositions defense is both stuffing the run and getting pressure with only the front four, it's difficult.

Part of that is the OL getting beat, but part of THAT is predictability....and there's no doubt we were after time.

I really thought we were past that after Garrett but then I realize who Moores coaches were....Linehan and Garrett.

Dated predictable garbage.

Moore better figure something out quickly if he is still here as the OC. The upcoming season has them playing some teams that Moore has problems with.
I do like that Mr. "Yards are Yards". lol

See you found a positive....only an eejit would have continued running the ball.

At the end of the day it may be Moore's responsibility, but that could be that he's not dumbing down the plays to meet Dak's shaken confidence, and until he can prove it, his ability.

I wish someone would hire him too just to show ya'll that it doesn't matter who the OC is he will be limited with what he can do because his QB is limited in what he can do.
Doesnt matter who they bring in....if your a Dak fan the narrative will be just another bad OC hire, aging Oline, WRs are overrated, etc. If you're not a Dak fan he can throw for 350 and 3TDs, but he missed a target in the 2nd quarter so he sucks.

People hardly ever change their minds...too much pride.

The " yards are yards" thinking is akin to the "wins are wins" phrase.......opponents and strength of schedule can make for that fools gold we mined this season.

One and done to a 6th seed wildcard team

Both Dak and Kellen are problem children. Neither are the answer.... I don't hate Dak being our QB but I don't ride his jock strap either... I admit At first, I was one of the ones on the KM bandwagon though. I heard from a couple of different game analysts on multiple occasions saying (back when KM was our quarterbacks coach) "That Kellen can draw up some really good schemes. He's going to be a great OC someday or even a head coach.".... And I admit I fell for it... Then I saw what he was doing and thought "Kellen isn't as smart as those analysts think he is"

I read McDaniels is the fave and could be hired by the end of this week……

That’s pretty pathetic that a dude that has never called a play can get that job over Moore.

Same here.

Now, I do believe KMo is salvagable, but he desperately needs help. He's had no one to learn under.

So how is the QB's "limitations" to blame for Moore's steadfast refusal to run the ball? If the QB is limited wouldn't it stand to reason that you would run the ball MORE to help him out not less and ask him to carry your offense? Your logic doesn't hold up bro.. Shanahan built his offensive game plan around HIS "limited" QB.. If you're telling me that Dak is limited yet Moore continued to put the whole show on his back then that's all the more reason he should be gone.

I'm all for watching Zeke run the ball 30 times for 75 yards a game.

We're not going to win any games that way, but hey, we'll get 3 high first round draft picks and be ready in 3 years when Dak's contract is finally up and we can get a real QB.

I'm on your side. Run the ball more. Anything that has Dak less involved I'm okay with.
