It doesn't take a former NFL player to see this.

The dude can't handle pressure. It was easy when you were the 4th round pick, feel good story, that was overachieving.

Now you're paid, expected to be great, and expected to lead your team places. When you don't you're going to get criticized much more for it because of your contract.

His skills can't back up everyones expectations for him. He knows this.

37 TD - 10 INT

Explain it away all you want

Was I in a coma for the past 7 years?
Only in stat heaven where most of them are Garbage stats or against Dog teams.
Best in the league.......:muttley::muttley::muttley::muttley::muttley::muttley::muttley:....Thanks for the laughs!!!

A person has to have very low standards if they think Dak was ever one of the best in the league. I wonder how much Dak pays these people that work in his damage control department.

To everyone in this thread who keeps bringing up the o'line..................

STOP. Just flippin' stop.

A team with a worse o'line is playing in the super bowl next week, so stop with this lame arse excuse for why Dak failed this season.

That is what scares me about Dak. His lost confidence is a big issue. Dak has not been the same quarterback since the Cowboys collapse in 2019. He makes one great throw, then the next throw is in the stands. Dak is basically Jimmy G.

I am one of the few on here that is the middle on Dak but is he really Jimmy G.? He has been to a SB and Ship game. We haven’t even seen either of those since 95.

Dak clearly did have confidence issues after week 7 last year, hopefully an off-season studying tape and recovering from his injuries will help.

I think his problem had more to do with the reinjury. If he lost confidence, it was in his body and it affected how he threw the ball. Again, some of that was pointed out by one broadcaster, how he was lifting his leg off the ground during his release. There were throws he missed the second half of the season that he just wasn't missing the first half. That's all it takes. Throw behind a crossing route on a second down and it's third-and-long and maybe the defense gets a sack or enough pressure to disrupt the next play.

For what it's worth, Prescott has had trouble throwing behind receivers in past seasons, but he seemed to have cleaned it up. Then the second injury and he reverted and was even worse with it at times. I think this offseason needs to be spent rebuilding confidence in his mechanics, making sure that he feels if he plants the back leg, it's not going to buckle, etc.

Yes, there are some things schemewise we need to do as well, but if Prescott had hit some of the throws that he missed, that would fix some of the scheme problems. Getting Elliott healthy and improving the offensive line might fix some of the others.

If Dak were to be a $20 mil QB few would question his worth.

At $42 mil a year? Noooooooo, me mateys, Dak is almosty average and not a Brady or Mahomes or even a Garopollo.
But I give credit to Dak for carrying out this monumental hijacking of Jerry's wallet and the Cowboys future through 2024.

He had 3 good seasons after that, but he kept dealing with injuries, still not sure why his career matters when he is giving his opinion on Dak

It was a question ASKED......are we not allowed to ask questions about him? And the point was...just because you get worse doesn't mean "lack of confidence"...not sure what's being argued here....

Right he fell off harder than anyone. Went from the best to nothing….
That fool spewed this poison after Dak passed for almost 4,500 yards, only 10 INTs, a 104.2 passer rating and a franchise record 37 TDs, yet he comes out with "Dak lost confidence in his game"??? What a moron.

That team is in the Super Bowl because Tannehill threw the divisional game away and the Chiefs and Mahomes stopped running the football when they were averaging over 6 yards per carry after a 21-6 lead in the conference championship game, so just stop with the lame arse excuse.

He performed better than most Dak included at least he played in 4 straight CCG's and 2 SB's, yeah Mahomes is just a bum, JAG kinda QB that every team covets, Dak is what many teams have a tier 2 kind of guy which isn't a bad thing unless you mortgage the future for him. But no worries the cap means nothing to folks like you it's next year or bust, just think 6 seasons of tier 2 level play and next year it all clicks and away they go, don't forget this is a championship team that only needs all-pros at every Offensive position except QB, can't wait to see the Jerry draft talent reaches and all those all-world free agents he brings in. SB ready, Jerry say's so.
I've been very vocal against Dak getting paid $40 mil/season, so point that finger at someone else.

im not sure i believe he lost confidence in his game.
i believe he was "thinking" too much...and was probably trying to protect that ankle and/or calf.
