Favorite prospect in draft for Cowboys

I like him depending on who is DC and the system he may bring in. If Dallas does shift more to a 3-4 defense then I think Davis fits the bill as a 1 tech.

Right now my opinion of Davis is he is one dimensional, is good for maybe 30% of defensive snaps or less, and has major bust potential if drafted too high. I also think he has a lot of upside, but I am worried about his stamina, and motivation on the field. The other question mark is football intelligence. If he can be coached up he would make an awesome DT for Dallas.

I am very early in my draft analysis for 2023 but Davis is a guy I can see falling in the draft.

Build the Front seven or rebuild the OL

1.) Linderbaum Our offense is at it's best when we have good OC play and we need a quality replacement for Fredrick.
2.) Dean instinctive playmaker that can blitz and cover.
3.) Green Versatile stout OL
4.) Lloyd extraordinary playmaker
5.) Walker very talented player that would help the DL rotation
6.) Williams we could really use a big play WR that can stretch the field.
7.) Jordan Davis not a big fan of run stuffers in round one but he is really good at it and we aren't.

McBride TE Colorado State

McBride is the guy!! Imagine having a TE that is dominate in the run blocking game but also our 3rd down passing target!
Doesn't get better than that. Instant boost to this offense in both the run and pass game. Even if they figure out how to keep Schultz, doesn't change my
opinion, as they are different players and you can use both. With that said, McBride would be an every down TE, never come
off the field and an amazing upgrade.

Big Boy DT Jordan Davis is one guy I like, at 6'06" 340 he could help a lot in shutting down the middle

I don't see McBride as an elite blocking TE, but he's not bad, and he has some pretty rare traits in the passing game. He's 6'4" 260 but has the hands and quickness of a giant slot WR.

The Darren Waller comparison doesn't quite fit because Waller is an athletic terror who runs a 4.4, but I think McBride could catch 8 underneath passes a game in a similar way.

I don't think he fits on the Cowboys (if anything we overuse our TE checkdowns already), but I'd give him a late 1st round grade. He's worth a hard look if you are breaking in a rookie QB or have a very conservative Carr-esque vet.

Trevor Penning at LoT is still up there for me.
He needs work and hopefully Philbin can fix some of his bad habits. But I like the mean streak as long as it doesn't go past the whistle.

Malachi Carter as a day 3 project WR. Good size, good blocker, good hands and route running(for day 3).

Some interesting names at LB in day 2 but no real favorite yet.

My favorite player in this year's draft is 6-7, 260 lb. TE Jelani Woods. He's a mauler in the run game and a great route runner with fantastic hands and the catch radius of a Sasquatch. I love watching him stomp through the secondary. He's going to be a redzone terror.

Heard good things about him after Shrine Bowl. Is he going to combine? Anxious to see what kind of athlete he is.

Elite based on what? You watched multiple games of him? If so more power to you for sitting through that
Lol unfortunately yes I graduated from CSU, so yeah I watch these awful games. I'm a bit bias because of the school but this guy is a game changer. CSU literally had no
passing attack other than throwing to McBride all season. Teams would triple cover McBride and he'd still win matchups and make catches constantly.
