I think this is pretty accurate when you factor in pressures, win/rate, etc. It's pretty crazy he just doesn't get home often. I think he's closer to a Greg Ellis type who had a nice career, while everyone wants him to be Ware+

DLaw is worth about $15M/year if he plays every game. He is not worth $27M and I would not even consider paying that for any player on defense. I think he will be gone.

Basically in his 14 and and 10 sack seasons he was functioning as the DPR, with Tyrone Crawford as the 5tech. Starting the season after his contract they changed his role knowing he was going to put up fewer sacks… because we’ll, you don’t really want Robert Quinn and Randy Gregory trying to perform that role. In the previous two seasons he still ranked top 5 to 10 DE ranking based on his ability to play the run, stack pressures and draw double teams. Regardless of sacks he still forces teams to have to spend considerable time during the week game planning him, that alone has immense value even if fans don’t understand Dline play without pretty sack numbers!

At 12mil I think we'd all be fine with him. He's a very good DE with an elite paycheck. The mismatch is the problem. And as you point out, as a #2, his sack total probably increases. Also, with some decent DTs.
