That's a pretty ambiguous way of describing it, isn't it? They didn't "show up?"

It sounds like he's saying the current team isn't as motivated to winning or it could be that they were not prepared. It might also mean that they just aren't talented enough.

I mean it was obvious that they came out flat. However, it's not like got blown out. They came out just short of time. They should have won.
It's true that some Cowboys played poorly.

And Deion should be the next coach of the Cowboys. He would get the most out of the players. Give him two decent coordinators and the rest would be history.

I would love for Prime Time to coach the Cowboys. I believe he would provide that much needed old school fire up under them week to week.

The sad part about it is, it would never happen in Dallas because that "good ol' boy" network is still alive and strong. Especially in the state of Texas and JJ is one of the top dogs in that movement.

There's a reason it was only one African American head coach in a 32 team NFL.

Deion just spitting facts.....when you don't win most of the "big" games ...which would be games against teams as talented or more talented, the players do not have the fight in them and/or the guts and attitude to put up much of a challenge. The "stars" of the team did not show up. The NFL is a very parity laden league, most games are won and lost by 3 to 7 points. And you have the two or three blowouts either way. Using the excuse of being close is false satisfaction and you set yourself up for further failure. Like Parcells used to say, "You are what your record says you are."

Can't remember a season where so many Cowboys legends and head coach has come out and criticized the team as much as this season. JJ Barnum thinking he was close while still going one and done.

Rightfully so........this team has officially earned the title of pretenders. No one's taking them serious until they win some serious postseason games.

Whatever, Deion.

Let's be real...before the 90s Cowboys even won their 1st of 3 SBs in 1992, no one was 100% sure if Troy Aikman was going to show up in the playoffs because Troy was only averaging around a 57% completions percentage with only around 2,350 yards and 10 TDs passing during his first 3 seasons. It's not until that 1992 season when the Cowboys drafted all of those stud players to place around Troy, along with the best Oline in NFL history, plus a top 10 Offense and Defense that one saw Troy's numbers skyrocket both during the regular season and playoffs for the next 5 years (1992 - 1996). After the '96 season when many key players had left to other teams via free agency, the Oline was no longer as dominant and Jimmy Johnson and other key coaches were no longer around did Troy Aikman no longer look as dominant.

I don't get the "choked" thing. Dallas went 1-5 versus the West divisions. Five playoff teams came from those divisions. The only one Dallas beat, the Chargers, missed the playoffs.

Indeed, we have become the bullies on the block.
We beat up on inferior opponents, the small kids on the block and then get punched in the jaw so hard vs the big boys that we go home and cry to mommy.
That is our Dallas Cowboys currently, about as disgraceful an era as I can ever begin to imagine.
