Dak finishes 9th:

Dak's play sunk after a Week 6 calf injury, but his struggles ran deeper than the injury. "I wouldn't say it lingered as long as people gave me the excuse of it," Prescott said on The Rich Eisen Show during Super Bowl week. "I went through a period of time during the season where I just didn't play my best ball."

After Prescott's fast start to the season, his inaccuracy and tentative play made for one of the most inexplicable stories in the entire league. He still mixed in enough boffo games to finish with strong stats, but the bar is higher for Prescott, considering his teammates.

Dak should thank all the dog teams he faced......true talent ranking is around 20th....

I believe somewhere between 10-15 will be Dak's ceiling going forward.

He finished 7th in these ranking after his rookie season and this is the first season since he's finished inside the top 10.
You’re completely full of crap, as usual.

Players, coaches and front office personnel were polled separately last offseason, and each group had Dak in the top 10.

Nice try.

I like his top 7.
Put them in whatever order you want but those were the 7 best, imo.

I think he's overrating Tannehill's 2021 season.
  • 24th in TD-turnovers......with a plus 4
  • 20th in Passer rating too

Not sure how that gets Tannehill to 12th best

He has Cousins below him. Not sure it was even close this year. Cousins was much better than Tannehill in 2021.

9th is definitely fair. I always thought he was between 7-12 because there some that are better than Dak. But then there are others that are at/above his level any given day.

Better
Mahomes
Brady
Rodgers
Burrow
Herbert
Allen
Watson?????

Same tier
Carr
Stafford
Jackson
Wilson

The Top 7 I would take over Dak, the 4 in the same tier "could" be better than Dak on any given day but not by much.

The rest I wouldn't put in Dak's league

I'd be real curious what his ranking would be if he didn't get hurt. I also wish they would do rankings based on teams with losing records, winning records or playoff teams. That's the true test of a QB. I'm hoping Dak can take the next step in his game and be a money QB against tough defenses and in the playoffs. His yards and TD vs interceptions is were we want it. He, along with the rest of the team, has to step up against good teams.

But I wish he wouldn't have gotten hurt because who knows what would have happened. 9th seems about right to me. Seems fair.

That’s about what I would expect. But a lot of us aren’t willing to settle for the ninth best quarterback.

Have you seen the Jones Boys attempts at drafting QBs? Quincy Carter? Paxton Lynch? Connor Cook?

They fell into Romo and then Dak, despite their best efforts to draft someone else each time.

Be happy with what you have, because expecting those two to grab someone better is wishful thinking. Stephen being slightly more aware than Jerry is all that saved of us from Johnny Manziel. But they went after Lynch the next draft, and Connor Cook, so Stephen being slightly more aware is obviously not enough. God help us.
