“Jerry, I have to ask you about the cheerleader controversy and the ESPN article. I know there is not a lot you can say because of the non-disclosure agreement but why did you choose to settle,” asked NBC 5 anchor and reporter Meredith Land.

"First of all, the cheerleaders are iconic. A vital part of what our organization is, the Dallas Cowboys. We took these allegations very seriously. We immediately began to look-see, an investigation into the situation. I can assure you that had we found that it need be, there would have been firings or there would have been suspensions. As it turns out, in the best interest of our cheerleaders, and the best interest of the organization, in the best interest of our fans, what we decided to do was show the cheerleaders how seriously we took these allegations and we wanted them to know that we were real serious and so the settlement was the way to go,” said Jones.

The executive named in the article, Rich Dalrymple, recently retired, six years after the allegations surfaced. He was with the team for 32 years. We reached out to him and have not heard back. Last week, Dalrymple told ESPN, in part, “I understand the very serious nature of these claims and do not take them lightly. The accusations are, however, false. Everything that was alleged was thoroughly investigated years ago, and I cooperated fully."

So— you paid 2.4 mil to show how “serious” you were in your “investigation”? Yet phone records, video records, testimonies etc… are all locked away by the NDA your 2.4 mil bought…. So we just get to take your word for it Jer?

In other words, "I retrieved all relevant material, and Dalrymple will be on the yacht, this weekend."

I still don’t understand with the internet and the fact the war room was streaming live on Cowboys websight that someone didnt record this. If it wasn’t recorded then anyone could say they saw whatever they wanted.

Now the truth
As it turns out, in the best interest of our cheerleaders, and the best interest of the organization, what we decided to do was Pay the cheerleaders off , and make sure they keep quiet!
seriously we took these allegations and swept them under the ol carpet!

Rich is a little odd, and he did have a phone lol, but he helped me uh get in HOF, and I owe him for that.
so the settlement was the way to go,” said Jones.

No harm....No foul !! Thats the way it is done in Arkansas !

This isn’t a court of law.

And Jerry didn’t pay 2.4 million and have everyone sign NDAs for ***** and giggles.
"We immediately began to look-see" bad choice of words or a Freudian slip, You understand but it seems some don't the 2.4 was to keep it out of the courts and any thinking individual understands the reason for the payment.

It’s he said she said. They believed the she. 1 girls saw him recording the other 2. Did she say something at the time like “hey you dirty old man, what are you doing.”. Did she run straight to JJ or his wife. Or just contact a lawyer years later after they can no longer cheer.

When did this “fan” call and say “I saw him taking upskirt shots of JJ daughter on live video.” And did he get a payday also.

All happened in 2015. He worked there for over 30 years. If I saw proof he took upskirts of my kid then he would have been “terminated” with my foot broken off in his behind.

I am sure things like that happen in the NFL. You have a bunch of testosterone and money running around pretty girls with short skirts on. I bet a lot goes on behind the scenes.

Life is rough at the top sometimes. Your employee screws up and you have to pay for that. 400k per cheerleader was a nice gesture IMO.
