its not gonna matter when you have a qb that even cowboys players are saying that his balls that he throws are dying on the way after 7years he can't set up his receivers right and to top it all defenses are starting to line up and saying your qb has to beat us when that happens its over for your team

In 2021, Cooper caught 68 passes for 865 yards & eight TD's after posting three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons from 2018-20. He also missed two games due to COVID-19. Nuff said....GALLUP!

Would we be willing to lose Coop if it made us better having more cap space to acquire more overall talent? That’s the issue. Coop is a very good receiver. But having him is not making enough of a difference- especially at $20 million a year. We MUST stop doing the same things and expecting better results.

He was the 32nd targeted receiver in the league last year. Unacceptable for a guy being paid top 5 money. He can’t throw himself the ball.

Time for you to make the toughest decision of your life, who do we keep Cooper or Gallup?? We can't keep both..... Give me your thoughts
Cooper is much better, Gallup is a one trick pony. Gallup is probably more affordable.....I'd love to keep Coop, but if I had to bet.....it would be Gallup.

In my mind, there’s only ONE player on this roster that is untouchable: MICAH PARSONS. Everyone else- even Zack Martin is not untouchable.
I would be collecting draft picks like the government collects taxes this year.

- Coop is the better player but It's not that simple .. it's not about who is the better player ..... it's Not the inny minny mighty moe pick 'em ...

- Cowboys do not want to continue on with a $20 million dollar per year contract ,... they now obviously must think Coop is not gonna live up to it, and not worth it.
they obviously already were skeptical of him when they placed this escape option into this current contract.

- Even more so surprisingly, the Cooper camp actually agreed to this escape option.

- I'm beginning to think Gallup has to be approached with some durability caution as well. He's missed games in past years because of injuries
and now as to overcome a recent and his most significant injury.

there's nothing tough about this at all lol. Coop is twicer the receiver Gallup is, and isn't coming off a debilitating injury.

no kits not we aren't making any decisions. Take the VR goggles off and wake up we will watch whoever suits up and palys next year. yes even if this place shut down like the actual DC site from the actual DC team site did and yet nothings changed..odd huh no mater what's said here nothing changes LOL

why are you so invested in fans enjoying discussing football despite their ideas not having any impact? it's what we like to do man.

Coop didn't just agree to it, it's what he actively wanted. Coop is better than gallup at any price point, before injury and certainly after. and i've never seen such a butchering of eenie meenie miney mo :muttley:

Cooper and it’s not close. Gallup is much less of a player and coming off a ACL tear. I’m not sure how this is even debatable unless we bring the $$$ into the discussion.

When is $$$ not in the discussion? It’s about building the best team you can under salary cap restrictions.

You can't pay a guy $20 million and him not be one of the top players in the league at his spot.

Lawrence and Cooper clearly are not among the league's best. Both should be released.

Bottom line is you save 39 mill on the cap by releasing DLaw and Copper. This team is currently 21 mill over the cap.

If you’re going to be a competitor in the playoffs, you can’t keep guys just because they were good last year…or the last 3. Good scouting and personnel decisions involve moving veterans BEFORE they are “done”.

Coop is a great receiver but having him has translated into what exactly? One playoff win. Made the playoffs twice. Hate to say it, but there are plenty of receivers out there that can give us what Coop has for a lot less money.

One of the biggest problems with this franchise- falling in love with players and losing perspective. And I’m just talking about the front office, not fans, lol.
So by that thinking if we don’t win a SB in next couple years then you let parsons walk since HE didn’t win us a SB
It’s not one player who wins but one player with a team is players all playing well

If the Cowboys keep Cooper, they will have to pay him $22 million for 2022. For that amount of money, they Cowboys can easily resign Gallup, Cedrick and Noah while still have $2+ million left over.

The financial decision is easy to see which way the Cowboys will most likely go.

From all indication, it sounds like it's the Cowboys team that has the right to exercise the escape clause right to opt out of this Cooper contract.

It sounds like when the two parties sat down and hammered out the details of this contract, both parties mutually agreed to the details of this escape clause. .
The Cooper camp apparently agreed and gave the Cowboys team the right to exercise this escape option at contract agreement, ..

Thus If Cooper wanted to stay with the Cowboys, i don't think he has a say in it., ..His fate is clearly with the Cowboys, it's all in the Cowboys' hands right now
It's the Cowboys decision, .. not Cooper's.
