- The teams interest right now seems heavily skewed on the offensive side of the ball. Id be surprised at this point if they use one of their top two picks in defense. Still early though.

- My money right would be on Penning, Green, Zion Johnson or a WR their first rounder.

- Penning may have leap frogged Green. Penning had a much better combine. Both can play OT, where Penning could project to LT and Green RT. For you Green fans, I think there is a better chance now that he is available

- Treylon Burks seems to be the WR they have showed the most interest in so far. However dont sleep in Drake London and Chris Olave at 24

- The Bama WR's are going to be interesting guys. A healthy Jameson Williams probably would have been a top 15 pick. However he came in pretty light at the combine at 179. Dont know if that's a side effect of his injury. He could be a faller and if he is there at 56 you have to consider him. Metchie may have fallen to the point that he is seriously underrated now. I think he would be a steal in the 3rd.

- Dont be surprised if we pick a HB relatively high. We are talking to guys like Isaiah Spiller, so a day 2 guy wouldnt shock me. Dont know if Id take route. However, following the money (Pollard is a FA in 2023, they can get out of Zekes deal in 2023), I can see what they are looking at. I just think its a year early.

- If they go defense day 1, I think its most likely to be Dax Hill. In an organization that loves Sparq, with a DC from the organization that developed it, I can see the appeal. I do think if Hill had better ball skills he would go much higher

- They seem to be really looking at TE's. Especially day 2 type guys. Dont know if I have seem them linked to McBride yet. There seems to be a good chance our 2023 starting TE is in Indianapolis right now

No offense, but that sounds really depressing to me.

More resources dumped into an underperforming offense.
We have also defensive heavy drafts the last two years. I do wish we could avoid high picks in skill players, but we need to add young talent to the OL

- I'm not a big fan of taking an OG in the 1st unless it is a blue chip prospect or someone that offers some position flex. Green is arguably the best OG in the class so I could get on board with him at 24 depending on who's available.

- Not a big fan of small guys in the 1st but Penning tested out as an elite athlete so he's helped with some of those concerns.

- Burks doesn't do much for me. Incredibly limited route tree in college so I think he's a bit too raw for me in the 1st. If we go WR at 24 give me London or Olave.

- Hard pass on drafting a RB this year (like you said - a year too early)

- OK with a mid round TE, just not in the 1st 2 rounds. Weak class at the top.

- Love Dax Hill - chess piece DB I'd be fine with at 24.

Is London going to be healthy for his pro day?

Greens combine doesnt really effect my opinion of him. I like Penning, but Id feel better about Green as our 2022 LG. Where Penning really interests me is that he could be an NFL LT down the line

An RB or a TE in the 2nd would be a tough pill to swallow, but it's absolutely something I could see Jerry doing.

Agreed that WR just became a big need with Cooper's departure looking more and more likely by the day. I like most of the top WRs this year and wouldn't necessarily be upset if we drafted Olave or Burks. More just upset that we put ourselves in a position where we need to fill Coop's shoes in the first place.

I like the OLs I've seen this year. Zion, Kenyon Green, Penning... sure. I'd be happy with any of them at #24. They're all going to be good pros.

Daxton Hill's a really good player, but if we picked him at #24, my first question is "what's Quinn planning to do with him". Hill is billed as a safety but functions closer to a slot CB in Michigan's defense.

I think if they played it better, they could have gotten a day 2 for Cooper. Once they know you are gonna cut him, your leverage is gone. If feel better about drafting a WR high if pulled even a top 100 for Cooper

They have shown major interest with Penning, he is definitely on their short list. Hearing Burks to the Jets with one of their 1st rounders. Yes, we have to start looking at the running backs, Pollard to a fa and Zeke can be cut next off-season. TE's anywhere from rd 2-5.

You have come around on Dax Hill?

I think Quinn could use Hill like Parsons in the secondary, play him all over the place, think he would be an impactful rookie starter.

Now that Lawrence appears to be gone, I think DE will be addressed somewhere in the1st 2 rounds. Outside of Penning they haven’t really shown much interest in guys like Johnson and Green.

Could go DE, but Im not so sure. You are probably going to see alot of Parsons rushing, so that second DE is probably more of a nominal starter like Crawford in 2018 when they play DE on run downs

I am OK with taking a TB but using a premium pick (Rds 1-3) would be idiotic. Then again, this franchise used the 4th pick on a TB and handed him the largest TB contract in NFL history a few years after they swore their analysis shows paying big bucks for TBs is a bad investment.

So anything is possible with these clowns, I guess.

If the BPA is an OL, you take the OL. I tend to agree with the idea we still need talent on defense, but if I have to reach for a defender at 24 when a top OL is there, it's a no brainer......... take the OL.

I'd love for the Johnson kid from FSU to be there at 24, but that seems unlikely. DE is a big need especially if they throw Lawrence into the dumpster.

My position is to move on from BOTH disappointing pass rushers we have in Lawrence and Gregory and draft one or two replacements.

Oh yeah. I’m not making a crazy reach. But if it’s close give me the pass rusher rather than paying big money to keep either one of ours.

My drafthot take is this team is going to eschew the needs from last year to address the needs they've created this off-season.

DE and WR are the priorities. TE third.

We may sign a journeyman guard and/or center and pretend we're good there so we can draft the flashy positions first
