I don't know what Schultz will get (he certainly has no business being in the 14m club) but none of the others are the top paid at their positions. Dak is 3rd Zeke is T2 (which is overpaid but still),and Cooper is 4th (soon to be 5th or 6th even if he wasnt cut). Realistically you are going to be paying SOME guys top dollar on the roster but none of the top are top in the NFL.

I wouldn’t sign long term but with Jarwin maybe gone for part of the season and moving on from cooper I don’t think they felt they could afford to not have a TE

Why does Shultz need 10 million. . . . allocate that 10 million to Cooper

No kidding. Everyone likes to emulate teams that make it to the Super Bowl and this year I've been looking at the Bengals. They let AJ Green go a few years ago and actually got better at WR with Chase. I'm not sure we're that smart.

Cooper is not gonna be back
