I'd be happy with the pick. We have some decent 3t's, but probably no bonifide stud. If Wyatt plays up to his potential as a Grady Jarrett caliber 3T, it makes things alot easier on the player opposite him and the defense as a whole

The value in this draft is in the 2nd round. If he was available i'd be looking at trading down for an extra 2nd round pick.

I pretty sure they wouldn't take him. First, his arms are too short and second the production wasn't that great. They would probably look at Zion Johson or Boye Mafe who grade out about the same. I would rather see them look at Paschal on day two as a guy that could move inside on passing downs.

What does this have to with this thread? Devonte Wyatt is 305 and runs a 4.77 40. He’s not a 1 tech

Galley and Osa are both 3 techs. Golston can play there.

Gallimore and Osa are not what I would call good 3Ts. They are average.

Wyatt is a risk not worth taking in round 1. His production on that DL should have been much better. He’s not a better prospect than Barmore that went in round 2 last year.

We have used alot of draft capital on the 3-tech position, when you think of Hill, Gallimore and Osa just recently.
Now whether those picks have worked out is another Question.
Draft capital SHOULD be allocated to the 1-tech position, I'm all for spending a 2nd rounder on Travis Jones ! Not a 6th for Bohana, or low cost FA's and expecting it to work.
Knowing that our FO does not value the position does not deter my desire for a good big man in the middle.
Eventually, I hope they see the need of a bona-fide space eater next to our 3-techs would help immensely !!!
