40M of the 60M was already paid, only 20M left for a 27 year old WR1 is very manageable and tradable

During his time in Dallas, Amari Cooper was a top 10 receiver by every major WR measure.

Amari Cooper - Cowboys Career

Rec 292 7th
Rec yds 3,893 9th
Rec TD 27 9th

It's not like the guy was a bum.

Truth is Jerry the lazy GM didn't work the phones......and played his hand like a schmuck. He basically showed his hand to the table...then tried to bluff.

Yes.....Jerry Jones is that stupid.....and needs to be fired. :banghead:

I'm gonna laugh when Coop has a big year and he signs with another team after this year and the Browns get one year of Amari and compensatory 3rd round pick for a 5th round pick lolololol

One word could kill this..Baker...thats the unknown for this scenario, but yeah this could legit happen.

Meh. I don’t really put too much emotional stock in what this team does anymore. The keep Romo (a QB who elevated receivers like Robinson and Dez) on the bench for Dak (a QB who needs optimum receivers but can’t do anything with them once zone defense goes into effect) showed me where they are with respect to respect and judging talent.

Have not read but the first two pages so far.

So before the trade, many were saying just get something for Cooper and dump the salary.
Don’t just release him.
Now that it has happened, they same ones are whining about it.

This place is freaking unbelievable.
I am not happy with what we got in return, but not going to lose my cookies over it either.

Bingo!!!!! "Deadlines close deals"....yeah they fleece FO's when they dont move quickly. These deadline deals are getting redundant.

The Cowboys were willing to take anything they could get for Cooper to keep him from going into free agency and ending up in either Washington, Philly or with the Giants.

Not a big market for overweight, poorly conditioned WR’s who earn 20 m per year. Not to mention extremely overrated.

From the Browns' point of view....
they are paying an extra 6 mil/year (and a 5th) to upgrade their WR1 from Jarvis Landry to Amari Cooper.

I'm assuming Landry is now gone there.

Sounds like a 5th round pick and a pick swap in the 6th. We move up from about #24 in the round to around #13 in the round.

They will package that pick, and move up, to reach for a player in the 3rd they could have got in the 5th anyway. Then tell us how they got a bargain that the player was not used correctly in college.
:lmao:
