I didn't want him to go. But now that he's gone, I'm just glad he won't be playing against us twice a year.

Yes

Never was a fan. Soft, mentally-weak, injury prone, and disappears too often.

I grew up watching Michael Irvin and Dez Bryant alpha types be the one leading our WR group.

Let him go for 6/100/2 tds against the Jags and then turn around and go 1/13/0 tds against the Ravens, in Cleveland

You really gonna tell me Coop was mentally weak compared to Dez?

Quiet and not crying on the sidelines does not equate to mentally weak.

With the exception of the last half the season Coop was a consistent avg 1100 and 6. He did that for the better part of 3 straight. It would've been 4 had KM and Dak not made him an after thought. Maybe he wasn't worth 20, but as far as these contracts go he produced as good or better than any of them.

The revisionist history on this board is something.

Jerry sent him to the Browns where there is a mediocre QB, hence Jerry will not look as bad at least next year. Imagine if Coop went to the Rams or Green Bay or Chiefs.

I said yes because, well he is gone!!!!!!!!!!
might as well be glad !
I also like seeing a weaker cowboy team, dont want jerry to win another SB, so this helps.

Also either he wasnt trying that hard , or dak is just kinda dumb, or kellen and mike are too stupid to get their moneys worth out
of cooper.
If you cant or dont know how to utilize him and his talents, what is the point in having him ? and paying him top dollar??
Answer is there is no point in having cooper with dak as QB, and I think mostly the stooges we have for coaches, and of course the jones boys.

Jerry wants lamb to be the # 1 , so lets see how that works out.:D

20m$ is worth more than what Amari was giving you. I voted in your favor

I figured you were upset about him doing your boys in over and again. It's a win win for Philly. We lose our best wr and we won't pay ish in FA for any upgrades. If I thought we'd put the money to better use I'd vote for it.

I wouldn't say I'm glad. But he was a waste here.
Dak couldn't get him the ball on a consistent bases, anyway.
And Kellen can't seem to utilize our weapons effectively.
We might as well beef up the offensive line, draft another running back in the fourth or below and commit to the running game.
This team has struck out trying to go Rams and Kansas City offense.
Might as well return to the days of pounding the rock and playing great defense.

We used his talents fine for 3 and a half seasons. I dont know what the hell they were doing last year, but it sure wasn't working.

The odd thing about Cowboys vs Eagles the last few years is we accomplished the same whether we beat you or not. We’ve made the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years and have a terrible record against you in that span. The last time we played a game that really mattered that Philadelphia lost was probably… 2014?

It doesn’t really matter if you keep Amari or not IMO, your team is about the same.

I voted yes, only because he has not lived up to his #1 WR status lately. Often some type of injury even though he tried to play through them.
But he has not came up big as a top WR should.

I hate to lose him though also. But his pay was also too much for his production. It was time to move on.

Otherwise as losing talent alone, then I would have voted no.

2018 extrapolating his 9 games to 16

1288 yards 10 tds

2019
1189 yards 8 tds

2020 (no Dak)
1114 yards 5tds

Can we stop pretending the last half of last season was his norm?

it will be interesting to see how he does in cleveland. He might help them be better.

It doesn't make us better. I can promise you this. If we don't fix the run game, this offense will be crap.

About as wishy-washy as it gets. The question was "are you glad he isn't a Cowboy" anymore. You have no $$ interest. Do you think it is good he is not on the team if money weren't a factor? Easy answer for any sane individual. Without $ in the equation only dopes would answer YES...

Here’s an interesting thought: what did you get out of the Amari Cooper 100m$ contract? What tangible improvement did he make on the team?

You had him on that deal for 2 years, year 1 he performed about the same with Andy Dalton as he ever had with pro bowl QB Derek Carr or Pro Bowl QB Dak Prescott.

More importantly, last year you blew out the eagles twice, didn’t need him for that, won the NFC E with ease, didn’t need him for that, quickly exited the playoffs… didn’t need him for that.

It is entirely possible that 20m$ goes somewhere interesting, CeeDee takes a step forward with all the attention he’ll now get, and it actually was a net gain by dropping Amari. Addition by subtraction
