Signed by Cowboys Lawrence contract extended

I'm confused. Does this mean he has 3 additional years added to his pre-existing contract that guarantees him 10 million per year? Or did he agree for 10 million a year for the next 3 years?

I'm not sure either, but the way I read it is Lawrence is getting more guaranteed money while the Cowboys get three more years to spread out his cap hit. His charge for 2022 is going down so hopefully that leads to some free agent activity soon.

The question is, what will the cap hit be if you cut him at the end of 2022? Presumably you can spread this over 2 years so not much?

WTH OVER.....OMG Jerry and Stephen Jones must be senile......SO STUPID... DID I SAY SO STUPID...the dude is injury prone....

I am just lost.....my Cowboys fan hood is now in question......the FO has gone off the rails....
Not happy at this end either. The guy's a total primadonna/Hot Boyz jerk!
Best all around player on our defense... And that's not saying much, but still, good player.
o_O What team have you been watching?! Certainly not Dallas. You know, that franchise whose rookie Micah Parsons won every award possible playing defense.

I'm assuming this mean cap relief, which is great. Also, I know ppl don't like him, but Dlaw has been far and away the best player on our D for years, up until last year. When he did finally play last year, he made a ton of plays. This is really good news for next year's defense.

I just hope the cap hit is lower at the end of 2022 if you cut him than what it is right now

Or just restructured. I don't know.

I bet we extended it as a way to change the cap hit for the next couple of years. Could have restructured, but it would have made the next two years very unwieldy.
