For such a perennial dismal college football program, their are a half-dozen or so Jayhawks currently on NFL rosters.
weird.
i guess there must be a mental toughness knowing your at a program thats lacking.

I didn't realize he actually got home five times last year.

Probably when Parsons was quadruple teamed lol.

Not impressed with his rush skills at all but if the money is reasonable it's not the worst thing they've ever pulled. Let see.

This is fine as long as he is paid as the backup/rotational guy and STer that he should be...

I don't think anyone is upset at the signing, unless it's some stupid amount of money.

What we are upset about is, ALL they are doing is resigning players from a roster that just lost in the 1st round in the playoffs - along with losing players from that same team.

They haven't added anything different to this point, only subtracted.

It's more than that for me. we have went from 15 years or so of giving way draft capital, money and salary cap room and any sort of squad depth to the other end of the spectrum and treating Free agency like it's toxic for the last 10 plus years. While everyone else seems to realize it is a combination of both.

53 players on a roster and you get 7 draft picks a year. How do you fill that roster out and compete, legitimately, for titles with 7 draft picks? Especially when it is near impossible for anyone to hit on all 7. The strategy makes zero sense. And here we are going about it in the same way with one slight difference. We let the one player we wanted to keep get away.

Only 5 starts and put up good numbers. I'm sure they're looking at some kids in the draft as well. With more playing time I could see him surpassing Gregory's numbers.

IMO, that's not going to happen.

They currently have

RDE : Armstrong, Basham
LDE : Lawrence, Golston.

They likely draft the 5th rotational passer.

However...on the upside of this.

I liked the way he played better last season than prior seasons. I am ok with keeping him, but do not overpay. He is not the answer to losing out on Gregory.
Unless something clicks for him and he has a career year.

Maybe Armstrong and Bashem could be a decent rotation, until a drafted player comes along. Or ODiggy and Golston develop as well.

Armstrong is your week 1 RDE. We’ll likely look for pass rush help at LB and DT. The pass rushing ends are too expensive.
