Leave it up to Cowboys fans to be mad that we sign a solid player. We can't sign all pro bowlers
No, No. WE GET THIS. We don't need to sign Pro Bowlers. Just starting caliber players, who can come in and start for us.

We are tired of the Nolan Carrolls, Keanu Neals, Cedric Thorntons.

We don't hate signing Armstrong. But go sign a Bobby Wagner, Will Fuller, Dante Fowler, Michael Pierce as well.

We haven’t signed a guy for more than $5 million in free agency. since BRANDON CARR. That was ten years ago

Quinn used him much less than Nolan did.

This has panic move written all over it.

It also tells you that the remedy for the Gregory thing is Armstrong, Basham and a draft pick.

Even 7 seems like a lot; if you then go out and get a leftover guy for 12, wouldn’t it have just been better to get one of the top guys at 19?
Depends on the top guy. If you can land Hunter at 12m per, with Armstrong as your 4th pass rusher thats a pretty good group.

Id be ok with paying what he got short term, but it didn't happen

At this point it's a damned good thing Lawrence really wanted to stay or DE would be a full mess.

This better not be a big money deal.

I don't think anyone is upset at the signing, unless it's some stupid amount of money.

What we are upset about is, ALL they are doing is resigning players from a roster that just lost in the 1st round in the playoffs - along with losing players from that same team.

They haven't added anything different to this point, only subtracted.

We all literally knew it and called it.

WE LIKE OUR GUYS AND OUR GUYS ONLY.

There is no way anybody can, at this point, not believe this organization overrates their own and prioritizes keeping them.

Yeah doesn't take a Kreskin to have figure this one out. We all knew this was coming. Wonder who got to the wall first to do this. :banghead:

this FO is so stupid you can’t make it up

the time to sign Armstrong was BEFORE D Law and Gregory. Now he had us over a barrel and we’ll end up overpaying for him
They have NO problem overpaying when you were a Dallas draft choice.

The contract validates how great they are at drafting.

They would have NEVER signed a WR with a bum knee to a big money deal if he played elsewhere.

At this rate even Trystan Hill will end up with big money.

I can see the disconnect there.

He wants real money off his one season and I dont blame SJ for being careful and not bidding against himself yet again.

The rest of the league probably sees that it was about scheme fit for him.

That said, I pretty much expect him to sign elsewhere within the hour lol.

Right, this can either be viewed as a solid signing or a weak attempt at securing the edges. You add Hunter and it changes everyone's perspective.

How was this dude not a priority?!! Our defense wouldn't have been as good without him.
From his tweets (and Randy Gregory liking them), he likely values himself more than he should.

There are plenty SS in the draft and we still have Wilson.

But if you're not going to pay in free agency, you might as well sign who you can.
