What's his cap hit for next year?
Eh, can’t remember but his base goes down from 15 this season to 12 next. More importantly his dead cap hit goes from 30million down to 13!

It does matter.

It's another example in a garden of examples showing how Jerry and Stephen just don't get it. An $18 million cap hit for not even an elite RB anymore is embarrassing and real roster management screw up. They then doubled down on that screw up by restructuring Elliott last year. They could be out from his contract this year if they hadn't made that mistake.

I know that hurts you to have to hear that.

Does not hurt me at all. Apparently you are butt hurt over it though.
I find it comical anymore of the daily hate musings about Zeke, Dak, and everything else.

if he scores 12 TDS and has a 4.2 Y/A in 2022, he stays another season.

He'll be gone.

He might have been gone this year if not for the fact that his 2022 base salary became guaranteed last March 2021 and they restructured him last year. They had no choice but to carry him on the roster this year.

In a capped world when you have a player underperforming his cap hit, it's a problem. There isn't a team in the NFL that is envious of us carrying a TB with an $18 million cap hit this year. In fact, teams have been trying to get out from under their big contract TBs for the last few years. Even Carolina has been hinting at moving McCaffery.

You just don't like to hear valid criticism of the team. Elliott was a mistake. Frankly paying any TB what we are paying Elliott would be a mistake.

And you all will be crying for another 3 years about him too, in spite of winning the next 3 SB’s.
It is what you all do.
nah man if we won the next 3 superbowls then he will be a big part of that, i won't be able to discredit that.

he just has too much mileage for his contract, it's nothing to do with him. 600 carries before he got to us in Ohio State and 1200 carries his first 4 years. That's 1800 carries and we paid him like he was fresh it's our fault.

I don’t mind valid criticism as I do it myself when needed. It is just all the other stupid Stuff fans post that goes along with it.
I don’t like the big contracts either, just as I don’t like Dak’s contract. I just choose not to waste any time or energy constantly whining about it.

I was a Dez fan, but perfectly understood when and why he was released. I did not whine about it.
If they move on from Zeke next year, then they move on. Nothing I can do about it, but if it saves a huge chunk of salary cap. Fine. Just as they did with Amari this year.

However if they make the move to save cap space, then make good use of that. So far they have not done so this year with what they have done. However FA is not over yet, so I will wait to see how it plays out.

and I do not like how much they paid Armstrong. It seems like a panic move as usual. But who knows, he may end up being a bargain as the light may come on or at least get a little brighter.

That is Jerry for ya as usual. :banghead:
Maybe his knees heals and fix the OL, and Moore grows a brain. Calls plays better and utilize Zeke and Pollard better. It may all work out.

Winning the next 3 SuperBowls?!?! Wait, do you know something we don't? Is Elliott going to get traded to a team that actually has a chance!? I really find it had to believe any team would take on that salary
