we all hope so, that's jerry selling hope yet again. we hope he can fill in.

my hope is that we're not done yet in WR dept.

There's still the NFL draft. while i don't expect a WR within the first two or three rounds, i do expect a mid to late Wilson type developmental guy
someone that also speed and special teams skills

If they go mid round I’m just not interested. These guys never make the team. We still have Fehoko. I don’t want part two of that.

I definitely would have rather retained Wilson, but in our current scenario, I think this was a good signing as a 3rd/4th WR. Kid does flash some talent.

Because Ben was essentially throwing long hand offs - he was getting the ball out in 1.5 seconds. They rarely ran deep patterns. It seemed like 65+% screens, slants, quick outs, etc.
I agree which is why I’d temper the talk about Washington not being able to play. I think there’s something there. Always liked his game. Just seemed like a guy who got stuck behind Ben’s dead arm and the depth chart.

In addition to what Voch said I think another reason his production dropped was the steelers had to go to a short passing game due to poor pass protection.

also Bens arm was toast.
He’s a legit deep threat. Honestly would’ve liked to got him on a 3 year deal or so. He’s a very good #3.

umm cost vs talent

Washingtons the better choice

equal talent at cheepier price.

No offense, but that's exactly what the Joneses want you to think. Generally cheaper in this league means worse. Sometimes it doesn't turn out that way, but there's a reason why Wilson found a job quicker and for more money. Most of these bargain bin signings do not make the team better because there was a reason they were in the bin. Few work out as well as Kearse did for us last year. At least we're not relying on Washington to start ... unless Gallup isn't ready to go at the start of the season. Then, it could be ugly.

I'm not knocking the pickup because I think it's the best we could do with the Joneses' approach to FA and we needed to pick up a third receiver with Wilson leaving. I just think expectations should be tempered.

He’s just meh, hopefully he does well but lots of sunshine pumping. If he signed with any of that team in the East we’d hear him trash he is imho

I disagree, I would be very surprised if you haven’t drafted a receiver by the end of day 2.

we know he will not be available week 1-4, they said it.
Where did you hear that?

https://www.dallascowboys.com/news/michael-gallup-gives-update-on-knee-injury

“With roughly four months until the start of training camp, it's a tighter window to return by the start of next season. Gallup said he isn't putting a timetable on it, but Week 1 is obviously the goal.

No one is saying weeks 1-4. It’s week 1 that’s the target with it being questionable he plays. I doubt he won’t play until October though that’s an extra assumption.

The Steelers' offensive line was HORRENDOUS!
I had Najee Harris on my fantasy team, so I was interested in watching Steelers games. He barely got a yard. I mean, I had never seen a worse offensive line in my time watching football.
That said, I had James Washington on my fantasy team a few years ago. I thought he was going to be a breakout star, so I hope he can do so in Dallas. Then again ... it's Dallas so ... shrug.

The league is almost as much about opportunity, coaching and scheme as it is talent.
