None. Pass on all of them.
Would prefer DE Jermaine Johnson, but the darn Eagles are going to pick him up in the mid-teens.
I would take WR Jameson Williams with the 24th pick. Jameson is going to be the next Amari Cooper.
Use 1 of the 4 5th round picks to package with the Cowboys 56th (late 2nd round) to move up into the top 6 picks of the 2nd round to pick up LB Brandon Smith.
Then use their 3rd round pick to draft big DT John Ridgeway..
4th - 6th rounds picks could address Oline, Safety, LB, CB, TE...
If we are lucky, one of the top 5 edge rushers slides, but I have my doubts. Same could be said about the top tier Tackles. For me everything is answered in the 2nd round.
So that said TWalker @ 24 with the proviso @ 56 Ed Gram
I dont think walker is @ 24 honestly so @ 24 Zion and I ain’t Lyin
Understood, but the talent Jameson Williams possesses is worth the risk, even if he has to sit most of 2022. He's that good.Wasn't going to make it easy. Williams would be an alternative, but we also have Gallup coming off major injury, not sure either would be ready to start the season.
Burks, we need a big game WR. If green is there it'd be a harder decision.
Here's how they grade out
Burks 6.5
Dean 6.4
Ojabo 6.39
Mafe 6.35
Johnson 6.34
Hill 6.33
#6 Edge (Anyone after Hutch, Thib., Walker, Karl, Johnson)
G-Zion Johnson
WR-Treylon Burks
LB-Dean
S-Daxton Hill
Is Penning off the board? Despite his height, he could play OG in 2022.
ZJ is the safe pick. Is the Cowboys believe that he could play OC, then he would be my pick.
Dean is the most dynamic of the available options but he is 5'11".
- He has a solid build but LBs tend to wear down more than most positions (Other than RB).
1st round WRs have a high bust rate. Not always complete bust, but not worth their draft status.
Daxton Hill is built like a CB and not even a big CB at 6-0, 191.
- That would be OK for a FS but I rarely say him playing FS.
- He was either in the box or in a Nickel CB type alignment.
- Like Dean, he would be a fun player to have on the roster but size vs playing style is a big concern.
Mafe is interesting but he was never a full time starter in college despite playing 4 years.
Late 1st is likely an in-between spot for DT where there is not a big difference in some players that will be available in the 2nd.
If there was an elite TE I would consider that option but the top TE is not that much better than some other options.
I know they have been looking at many Tackles who can also play Guard like Smith from Tulsa and that small schooled Tackle in Rainman.
Anyone but Burks…and I have a terrible feeling they’re going to take Burks at 24.
Funny story, me and my cousins were playing ball as kids at their house in conn. I hit a ball threw the neighbor's window, small guy comes out yelling and screaming. My brother & cousins are in shock, I was like who the hell was that, it was Dustin Hoffman, lol.
Tyler Smith. He is shooting up boards but if Burks is there at 24 I can’t see the Joneses passing over another Dez.#6 Edge (Anyone after Hutch, Thib., Walker, Karl, Johnson)
G-Zion Johnson
WR-Treylon Burks
LB-Dean
S-Daxton Hill
