Pip your guy at 24 with these 5 on the board

Dean and it’s not close
I'd beware that he's been playing for an outstanding Georgia defense, behind two DT's that are expected to go top 50, its unlikely he's going to get the same lanes with our D-Line.

first choice is Green,if he is gone i would look at the edge rushers left.Dean is a possibility if we dont sign any good LBs in FA.

Dez needed to become a better route runner for sure, but there was a ton of film of him winning down the field actually running routes. He also had arguably the best body control and ball skills I can remember from a college WR prospect...

He was a legit blue chip prospect if not for the off the field stuff. Burks isn't on the same planet as Dez as a prospect. Neither is anyone else in this class.

Dez ran a basic route tree on the college level. He was a beast after the catch and was excellent at high pointing the football. Burks exhibits these same traits. Yes, he needs development, but has the potential to become that type of player.

I strongly disagree…Dez may have run a basic route tree in college but he put a lot more on tape of him actually catching the ball past the LOS. Burks has some of the same traits just not at the same level as Dez.

I think it’s fine to make the comparison…they’re just nowhere near the same caliber prospect. I’d agree Burks has some similar traits that Dez did as a prospect but he’s about a full round lower than where I had Dez as all of those traits are lower.

Well 1st, Wyatt isn’t even good vs the run….at all.
2nd, couldn’t you paint this narrative for pretty much every player on a great college team?

Don’t get me wrong, obviously Davis was beneficial for Dean, but are you discounting ALL Georgia defensive players because that D was so great? Are the Bama WR’s lowered in your book because of how great the talent was around them?

A WR can be judged in isolation and that's why I'd have a (slight) question mark as to any of the Georgia defense. A lot of defenses is working as a unit.
I'm not saying don't draft Dean, just would be wary of whether he can replicate his success with a relatively lesser defenses we'd give him.
I don't care much for testing, as his worth appears his speed of reading the game, but I wonder if his skill set actually compliments Micah or somewhat restricts our Franchise Defenseman.
As with Dak, we have to look at players who compliment what we have.

In my eyes it’s a complete non-issue because Micah should be rushing the passer minimum of 60+% of the. He’s a game changer that way.

We should be looking for a do it all WIL and let Micah be a game wrecker like he was last year when we didn’t have any DE’s….because we still don’t.

Let's agree to disagree. Neither of us want a 1st rd receiver, but I wouldn't hate the selection if he was their pick.

I agree that Micah should be pass rushing, but his ace in the pack is that he can do it from any starting point and we're not using him to max affect if left in one position....a bit like the 49ers game, offenses can work him (or anyone) out if you don't change it up.

Fair enough. I have no doubt Quinn should/will blitz Micah from a variety of spots. But it also doesn’t have to be too over complicated all the time…conveniently Micah is a freak of nature athlete and can rush from the edge just fine. And if they want to double him DLaw should finally start earning some of that $.

I’m interested in seeing what Quinn does either way. He’s got a challenge ahead of him trying to balance having a viable pass rush while not getting gashed in the run game (more)

Funny story, me and my cousins were playing ball as kids at their house in conn. I hit a ball threw the neighbor's window, small guy comes out yelling and screaming. My brother & cousins are in shock, I was like who the hell was that, it was Dustin Hoffman, lol.
Way cool one of my favorites

Because your boy Dak needs all the help he can get

Thats why you are mad Coop got bushed
Help for dak means a better d I'd you really think he's trash like you so. More receivers won't mean anything. Receivers didn't lose the game vs San Fran big dawg

The defense was fine last year. Only 7 points given up in the 2nd half of the game and that was off the back of Dak’s INT.

No defensive player at 24 is going to make this defense elite enough to carry Dak in the playoffs big dawg

If we are lucky, one of the top 5 edge rushers slides, but I have my doubts. Same could be said about the top tier Tackles.
I agree with you and would be jumping off the couch if a pass rusher or offensive tackle was still on board. I would love to see Armstrong become a force off the edge but that may be wishful thinking. The OT we could slide inside and become Tyron’s replacement next year.

He's not that fast though....that combine was really disappointing. You could sign Hitchens back....and he would be almost getting the same player.

I think the pick is going to be Zion....then a couple of surprises in the 2nd and 3rd....;)

Dean didn’t run at the combine so no idea what you’re talking about. He also really isn’t similar to Hitch at all
