Players Cowboys show interest in 2022 draft

there is no way the cowboys will draft Davis at 24 and i dont blame them in this case but he will be a good candidate if we trade down.

As Quinn and Gannon watched drills, Brisker showed off his unique blend of size, speed, and ball skills. He caught everything thrown his way and showed smooth change-of-direction ability in position drills.

NFL has him ahead of hill!

Overview
Athletic safety prospect whose versatility and toughness will endear him to coaches during the evaluation process. Brisker continued to pick up elements of the defensive scheme and his play has steadily transformed from hesitant in 2019 to downright instinctive in 2021. He has the versatility to become a moving chess piece in a variety of coverages and has the size and talent to match up with both "Y" and "F" tight ends. He played with a banged-up shoulder in 2021 so his 2020 tape is a clearer indicator of his run support acumen. Brisker is an ascending talent with the NFL traits to become a long-time starter as a Day 2 draft pick.
Strengths
  • NFL safety size with huge hands.
  • Played through pain for much of 2021 season.
  • Versatility to play post, box and slot safety roles.
  • Smooth pedal with limited wasted motion.
  • Trusts his technique.
  • Instincts to find takeaway positioning from any coverage location.
  • Eye balance to read receiver or quarterback to anticipate route.
  • Footwork to adjust to receiver's route bends.
  • Highly capable and tough as an add-on box defender.
  • Attacks and discards perimeter blockers with quickness.
  • Forceful to square, strike and finish as tackler.

To be honest, I love both prospects.

Thing is, Brisker is going to play safety and can fill multiple roles. So if Hooker isn't your long term guy (2 year deal) Brisker is my guy.

Hill is a question mark at full time safety and can fill multiple roles. If you plan on keeping Hooker as your guy, I love the flexibility of Hill.

All depends on what kind of defense you run

I think there is a good chance he is there, many media scouts see him as a 3rd rd player and does have some off the field concerns
So many times the media is totally wrong with their evaluations compared to the evaluations that the teams have on certain players. I have seen the media be off a couple of rounds from the teams.

Usually its the Medicals or character issues as the media isn’t pry to that info

I love Brisker and it would be an amazing addition to our Defense.... my only problem is I can't get excited for a 1st round safety since Dallas has been incredibly predictable over the last two decades, since roy williams, that they don't care about the safety position and won't draft the position with a first or second. too bad cause it could totally be a game changer!

Well no worries, because there's not a chance in hell this team takes a first rd safety. I also prefer Brisker to Hill, but I don't think either are in the cards for us, unless we paint ourselves into a corner by trading and have no choice. If either are available somehow by 56, sure, I can see them taking the top rated guy. But not in 1.

The following would not surprise me concerning Jelani Woods:
  1. That he’s the first TE off the board; and
  2. He’s taken at the backend of R1

I understand why that would happen, but it gives me flashbacks to the Witten draft, where the best all around player dropped because he didn't have the measurables of the others. I could see that happening here to McBride
