People complained a lot less back then…
A man marries a 120lb woman. She now weighs 280. I'd bet he complained a lot less when she weighed 200.

Time takes its toll. Some get numb and some more sensitive.

ES, I actually think it is worse that the Cowboys actually made the playoffs because that raised the hope they would not repeat what they have in past playoff appearances and twice after getting homefield throughout.

Long time fans were used to a different type of style for the team, they actually ratcheted it up in the playoffs. This team saved their worst, especially with penalties, for the most important game of the year and that's a tough one on fans already primed for something like that to happen.

The Cowboys are the "other shoe" team for their fans. We all wait for that to drop and so far, it has not failed to do just that.

Totally refreshing re hash of ALL the events that have transpired concerning this team from TOP to bottom. Heck, and here I thought Jerry had some kind of censor authority to even not allow this type of negative press to be talked about publicly.

Freedom of the press IS actually alive and not muffled in Dallas after all, lol

I think most of the local media is worried about losing access/benefits if they dare say anything negative about the circus going on. So like you said, something like this is refreshing.

I’m assuming when they reference “ Century” are referring since 2000.

And if that’s the case it would be difficult to recall when we have had to part ways with so much talent and starters.

If more fans had access to our local papers I think they’d read the criticism . Unfortunately we’re not even able to link one of the best sports pages in the country. And you have to subscribe online to read their columns. I think you get like 2 or 3 free reads a month.

It’s my first read almost every morning and my thoughts are influenced and aligned with several of them .

I’d recommend looking at Bloggin the boys for more critical coverage as well. They provide a balance for both homers and those with more critical thinking . They also have have fan participation and credible writers. Not a bunch of anonymous agenda troll BS.

Appreciate ya man. Truth matters.
Yep, and even on the national media front I absolutely despise Stephen A. Smith but hard to argue that a few of his points are genuinely valid concerning this team year after year.

Cause probably, if Im able to be totally honest with myself about this team, Id find I may be more agreeing than disagreeing with him.

But then my natural Cowboy bias would kick in and I would join the masses here and say he's a hack that doesn't know what he's talking about.

And yet ultimately giving in to him after another long year of disappointment and him getting the last laugh.

Truth still matters.
Even if it aint what ya want to hear.

Point taken, but folks still complain more nowdays.

If folks means everybody, I agree. Folks are in a crappy mood so complaining is to be expected about everything.

We are all affected by events outside of football and best not discussed here. This general malaise will linger for a awhile. Can't escape it. Tried watching sports and all they did was keep reminding us.

Around here, the complaints were about not being able to travel. Now the complaints are about the prices to travel.

I like complaining about things out of my control that I can't do anything about. If I can do anything about it and complain, I am an idiot.

As far as this football thing is concerned, no one is being forced to remain a fan or make travel arrangements and buy tickets and then complain about the Joneses. We choose that which we choose to complain about.

Blimey, rotten artichoke.
Until you come up with another off-season that is worse, I tend to agree: this off-season has been horrible.
Name another off-season that is worse.
I am open to contenders you might find, harbor boy.

The absurd notion that anyone would actually defend this speculative delusion renders their credibility useless, IMHO. Citing examples is pointless, because you would only dispute it.

A time waster.
