Guy gets attacked for believing?

To those that don't believe why watch the games? Why cheer for this team? Why log on to Cowboyzone to chat with us real fans? Normally when people don't believe in something they stay away from people that do.

I believe I'm going to love this team no matter what. I believe I'm going to follow this team no matter what. I can't control what the FO does all I can control is my response. I'm not a Jones fan, but I am a Cowboys fan.

Newsflash:

You “can’t control” how other people think and react either, “no matter what”.

Stop trying.

See how things look in October. The media is just throwing crap at the wall right now looking for attention.

I don’t have any doubt we have a net loss of talent
I don’t think even the most optimistic fan can say today we don’t have less talent
There is still opportunities to improve the talent but they have their limits
Replacing CW isn’t hard and replacing cooper is possible. But replacing both in the draft with equal talent is not very likely

not only that, we had to actually improve. We didn’t do that and have taken a step back yet I’m supposed to applaud this idiot FO?

hey, Dak is an above average QB but even if you believe he is a great QB shouldn’t you do everything you can to help him as a FO so he can reach his potential?

We haven’t gotten back to even yet and I’m not sure we can unless we get some huge impact from more of last years draft class and have a monster draft class
Fixing RG is easy, but what I takes to fix it leaves something else harder to fix
That’s the thing about the draft. Fixing multiples positions is really hard to do because you need a ton of luck to have a guy capable of fixing each one being there round after round. That’s a very hard thing to make happen
You might get 3 really good players in this draft but the odds of the 3 being at the positions you need are slim
My guess is if we get really lucky we can fill 2 need positions with starter quality players in this draft and we need more than that

And half the league is kicking the door in in an effort to win a Championship. That includes Super Bowl teams like Cincinnati, playoff teams like the Chiefs, and teams that just missed the playoffs.

We’re moving in reverse by comparison. But the Ultimate Snake Oil Salesman and his idiot son need to convince the sheep that things are “just fine”. Continue to buy those season tickets and all that Cowboys swag. “We got this.”

Problem is we have position needs, we NEED to improve to have a chance to win….we had the money to do it…..and we just sat on the cap space.

Oh really let's take a look...
1. Resigned Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn = Win
2. Reworked Lawrence's contract = Win
3. Franchised Schultz because they had to because of Jarwin's injury = Win
4. Got rid of a penalty feast of an O-line in Connor Williams = Win
5. Resigned a two solid safeties in Wilson and Kearse = Win
6. Traded Cooper who is injured a lot, disappears in road games, and they save cap space = Win
7. Let a headcase in Gregory walk who get more offside penalties than sacks =Win
8. Restructured both Dak Prescott and Zack Martin's contracts to save 22 million in cap space =Win
9. Let go of an aging kicker who misses a lot of chip shots = Win
So if this is a horrible off season then I'd love to see what a good offseason looks like because so far they've made a lot of changes for the better.

Most of these are all good moves, but for the most part they either just maintain things or leave uncertainty. Even if there were reasons for releasing or trading people, all of them will still need to be replaced, so we can't call it improvement until we know who the replacement will be. If the cap savings result in some new signings that help, things will shift, but so far mostly what we've done is tried not to lose ground.

I'm just asking a question. If you know the Cowboys are going to fall flat on their faces....why watch?

Nobody “knows that”. And nobody is claiming such a thing. But being a fan does not require me or anyone else to blindly accept everything the team does. Nor does it prevent me from questioning or criticizing when I feel they’re wrong.

If you want to do ‘mindless fan’, that’s your prerogative. But it’s also mine to express my feelings and opinions.

Jerry loves ya! You should get season tickets and buy a couple K in merchandise to fund the insanity in JJs world. Fans like you are a problem!

we're getting knocked for getting rid of players they've spent the last few years calling over-rated and over-paid.
they knocked us while we had them.
they knock us now that we dont.
doesnt matter what we do...who we sign...who we trade...they will ALWAYS knock us.

If they use the created cap space to replace the players they let go, then cool.
So far they have not done that, so they get an " F" in my book.

The mandate of the perpetually miserable.

Not all of us fall in the Pollyanna or Negative Nell buckets. I give them a C+ to a B-. Shedding a couple high priced loafers was a positive move. Schultz’s tagging is questionable but I can live with it

the issue is that there were holes to fill BEFORE a losing some of theses alleged key players so it’s not reasonable to think that they can address it all through free agency.

Each year brings new hope and I understand a lot of our fans being skeptical with the moves made this off-season. Let’s see how the draft and season turns out.

"They" are right and aren't saying anything that cowboys fans haven't been saying. this offseason sucks so far. We lost 2 starting Olinemen, our No 1 and 3 WR and one of our starting edge rushers and we replaced them with who? What are we doing with that freed up cap space? If this team is banking on rookies to fill in all these holes, especially when we are going to be picking in the latter end of these rounds, that is laughable.
