I am wondering the same thing. It makes no sense. Cowboys lost games because of his inability to nail chip shots.

He signed with the Jets on a 1 year deal with a salary that puts him in the bottom 3rd of kickers. It doesn't seem like the Cowboys wanted him that bad, but probably offered him a nonguaranteed contract where he would have to compete.

I'm not getting all this Zuerlien love.......the guy made me nervous every time he lined up for an FG. Don't get me started on extra point he miss every few games or so.

I'm pretty sure that teams also know what TJ Watt is doing every week and he still tied the sack record.

But just think how confused offenses would be if you moved him around and dropped him into coverage!

We're over thinking this. I was all for Micah's versatility until he showed elite pass rush skills. Now that should be his full time job. It just matters more than anything else he can do on defense.

One thing to keep in mind with Parsons. He was a situational player as a freshman and started one game as a sophomore. He set records there so he was a force but not enough to be a 3 down LB.

They have the same thing in Jabril Cox, hell of a playmaker but not a 3 down starting LB.

Parsons is a force but the force is divided by not having him full time on the line and add some strength.

Do you think there are any guys they don’t want on a cheap deal?

they probably send out a memo to all free agents and agents - “if you and/or your player are willing to accept an offer for the following terms, the cowboys are willing to sign you”

DE - 1 year 3.5 million
DT - 1 year 2 million
CB - year 3 million

this is probably how they sign free agents. Whoever responds and meets their terms, they sign.

I don't have a problem with him saying Parsons won't be a full time DE. I do hope Parsons is rushing a minimum of 80% of the snaps, but I do like him rushing from the middle as well.
