I loved me some Tim Tebow. Hoped he would defy the odds and what players said about his quarterback skills.
But finally I had to accept the inevitable. All leadership ability aside, he just wasn't a good throwing quarterback.
I had high hopes for Dak. I was hoping he would reduplicate his rookie season.
But six years in, he is simply a bus driver. Good against average teams; average against good teams.
He's a starting NFL quarterback. No doubt about it.
But so were Alex Smith, Case Keenum, Kirk Cousins, Daniel Jones, etc.
We can win with him, provided we have blue chip talent surrounding him.
Outside of that, we'll follow the same pattern we are now. Good enough to get to the playoffs in a weak division, not good enough to do much damage in the post season.
After six years, I just don't see much major improvement. Sorry.
In sum, it's mental. Mentality controls your moxie and your confidence in fitting the ball in tight spaces.
He has the arm strength, he just can't get it there, for whatever reason. And apparently, he can't read complex defenses.
That's mental.
