Zeke is better than Pollard now whine at me I like it
Zeke is better for Dak.

People see Tony get very specifically designed plays with success....most of those plays are AWAY from our O line....our terrible run game O-line. People so casually forget...When Tony has to run up the middle he doesn't get any more yards than Zeke.

These people think this makes Tony a better starting RB. When he;'s neber been the #1 starter EVER! in college or NFL.

We have a guy above enamored with "breaking tackles". Tony gets to break a DB tackle while Zeke has to avoid a tackler on the handoff then three more O-line/LBers. While avoiding a pushed back offensive line.

That's the play Moore calls time and time again but ....Zeke sucks.

I will say it again....don't get stuck on stats. Tell the story the stats only outline. Dont'; abuse them to prove a phantom opinion.

Ignore the games and look at the carries
So ignore the stat that doesn't suit your agenda?

Carries per game is a VERY important stat if you want Tony to "carry the load". The Cowboys think he can't do it so limit the number.

Some of you fans have VERY short memories...how convenient. Our #2s have always had limited carries, but obscene stats. Until they try the #1 spot and flame out.

You think you know more than the coaches...and every time they try your brilliant idea ....fail. These othjer backs that you want to compare Tony to...were and ARE....the starting #1 RBs....in college and NFL. With the higher carries per game that MAKES you THE bell cow. The carry the load guy. It's a rough physical position. Tony...never was. Even Barkley is finding out how tough it is.

Give Zeke SOME credit.....he keeps playing. Even asked to block with the O-line....not many RB's can keep that going this long.

No knock on Tony. He is an OUTSTANDING change of pace #2 running back. That role NEEDS filled with the right guy and he is it. But he's NEVER done what some of you guys say he's better at than guys who HAVE done it and been successful.

Welll...I am no master...but I appreciate your sarcasm.

Yes...zeke is a better RB especially if you want Dak healthy. Better have a good #2 RB with Tony as #1..... he gets hurt just being a casual #2.

We picked up a guy that I kinda like Washington can be a running back or receiver might be good choice.

We should draft a mid round RB this year because Zeke and Pollard should be gone next year. You never draft RBs in the 1st round and you never give RBs a second contract.

I like Pollard for what he is- one of the best change of pace backs in the NFL. We shouldn't oversell him though. I don't think he'll have the same success as the main cow bell back.

If we run him as our main every down back y'all will turn on him faster than you turned on Zeke and we'll have wasted another talent.

Zeke supporters are the new flat Earthers.
We'll probably have to agree to disagree....but I won;t insult you for it.

YEs.....Zeke isn't and never will be 2016 Zeke....few RB's are. He set the bar high and if he doesn't get close or surpass it he sucks. I get it.

But there was so much other dysfunction in 2021....from Moore to O-line circus merry go round to injuries...that I gotta give him a free pass. I mean he's here either way why not make the best of it?

Even MM seem to indicate there might have been some issues but he was determined to let Moore handle it.

Honestly I dont understand the point of this thread. To me it shows that paying anything over 2-4 million for a RB is foolish. ( Just came up with that number)
You can find RB's, it's not even a discussion anymore. Yes there are still going to be Jonathan Taylor and Henry types, yes there is value but those guys better be the league leader or you are at a big disadvantage.
The perfect guy for the Cowboys to pickup was Mostert, one year 3.1 million, offer him 2 years for 5.5 and you have solved the RB situation with Zeke. I would cut him to send a message that lazy nonsense is not tolerated. If you dont want to send a message, cut him next year when the cap impact is lower.

Barkley is over-rated and there is a myth that surrounds his aura. For every big run, he's racking up multiple negative type runs and it was his knock in college. His athleticism wows you with a big play catching or running, but as a runner that punishes a defensive front, he isn't the guy. Even in his first couple years, the RG was not forcing defenses out of the cover 2 zones, which was the main driver for drafting him.
agree Barkley was a terrible pick, I believed that when it happened.
This is why I love the Giants, they passed on Both Chubb's, Quentin Nelson, Josh Allen just to name a few.

Sounds like sanders
The difference was sanders stayed healthy
If Barclay had been healthy he would have been a great back
Some guys just can’t stay healthy
It’s a shame because you see the talent

I've seen this narrative before. Not everyone can take the full load and produce at a high level year over year. Even Troy Hambrick looked great as a backup.

There was a point in time, though, when no matter if Emmitt were getting the ball half the carries or the whole game, Troy Hambrick was just better than Emmitt, especially at the end of his career.

No question Barkley is better when healthy. Problem is, he's never healthy.
