I have 2. The 1979 comeback win against the skins by Roger Staubach at Texas Stadium. That game gave me goosebumps. I knew he was gonna will them 2 a win. I was 9 years of age. Then the first SB win we had in the 90's against the Bills. We were king of the mountain once again. We had arrived.

After being a fan for 47 years it was not easy to narrow it down, but here is mine:

For me it was the 1978 Cowboy's SB victory over the Bronco's.

I was a brokenhearted kid after the Cowboys lost to the Squealers in the 1976 SB, my first season as a Cowboy's fan.

For us to win it all in such a dominating fashion was so, so sweet !

So here is a chance for a positive slow offseason thread !

Whatcha got ???

Really cool OP man because of our similar fanhood dates and how you described that winning feeling after having lost to the Steelers a couple years before.
I can relate to all of it.

Great post.

Roger Staubach to Tony Hill to win the game 35-34 against the Commanders to cap the regular season. I yelled so loudly I almost passed out. This was back in the day of the best rivalry in all of sports and the Commanders left heartbroken.

The slant to Harper is my favorite Cowboys moment of all time. I was in High school and that game was the talk all week.

I thought the 49ers were about to get a 3 and out and win the game. When Harper caught that pass and started heading up field, I almost lost my mind in my room.

Never really experienced that kind of Rush I had that night watching a Cowboys game.
I didn't even feel that excitement against Buffalo in the actual Superbowl.

I feel bad for the kids that never experienced what a deep Cowboys playoff run feels like. Unfortunately they may never experience it with Stephen Jones taking over the bank account from here on out. :(

too tall jones tips a phil simms pass that falls into the hands of jim jeffcoat who rumbles in for the touchdown.
dallas beats the ny giants to win the east in '85.
they would do it again a few yrs later on a monday night...helping dallas up-set the giants.

Great moment, I was hoping Harper would make it to the endzone, but no problems we scored a couple plays later!
I too feel for the younger fans who will prolly never live the good times we did.
I was blessed to enjoy both dynasty periods.

Yep, if you are looking for a moment or a play I would have to agree for sure! Especially after enduring the catch as a kid!

And this was following their earlier matchup in the year against the Eagles where Aikman was sacked like 10 times. Poor guy took a beating.
Poor Troy was a concussion waiting to happen towards the end.. very sad.
Glad he still has his marbles.
One poster here said he was baby butt soft a few months ago!
I almost lost it...
