Linderbaum workout

Really dude. We will see come draft time with Linderbaum. He has been dropping like a rock since the mock process has started. I hope you go cheer for the team that draft him since you love him so much because it won’t be the Cowboys.
Argh...the legendary 'Mock Concensus'. I think this year's been so varied and so many experts have widely differing views on players.
There always seems to be the 'excuse/evidence' to differentiate between picks....why didn't Parsons (over stated personality concerns and sit out 2022) and Lamb (limited size).

I was going back through the Parson mocks and rankings. He was actually rated pretty high and most thought he was the best defensive player in the draft. The media and draft nicks just did not think he would be good for the Cowboys because we had Jaylon and LVE.:rolleyes::facepalm:

I think the issue might be more that you are not aware what size NFL centers are…here are some of the best in the NFL and their pre draft measurements.

Jason Kelce- 6’2 280 32.5” arms
Mitch Morse- 6’5 305 32.25” arms
Corey Linsley- 6’3 296 32” arms
Rodney Hudson- 6’2 299 32.5” arms
Ben Jones- 6’2 303 32.5” arms
Brian Allen- 6’1 298 32.33” arms
Connor McGovern (not ours)- 6’4 305 32.75” arms
Mason Cole- 6’4 307 32.15” arms
Chase Coullier- 6’4 312 32.25” arms
Creed Humphrey- 6’5 312 32.25” arms
David Andrews- 6’2 294 32.15” arms

Are you sure 6’2 302 with 32.5” arms can’t play center at a high level in the NFL?

The narrative around this kid defies reality. Thank you for bringing sanity into this discussion. He is literally a prototypical NFL center with elite movement skills, high football acumen, and a Rimmington Trophy winner. There is quite literally nothing to not like. I understand not wanting to pick him until the second because center is not a premium position, but the knocks make no sense.

I would be totally fine with going nuclear to rebuild this line and going Zion in the first and trading up into the second to get Lindenbaum in the early second round if he is still there. It would leave you somewhat thin at WR and Linebacker, but for the Cowboys to be a threat to win anything this year the line needs to be dominant and a starting lineup of Tyron - Zion - Lindenbaum - Martin - Steele gives you a chance to be just that.

Could even trade back into the last few picks of the first, snag Lindenbaum and then use your two seconds to get a guard (this draft is deep at interior line) and a WR or LB. Quite frankly I think this should be the move given the fact we've got quite a few holes to fill.

i dont get why we dont seem to like Linderbaum at all but have interviewed Cam Jurgens who seem to to be similar Center prospect.

Jurgens is likely a 4th or 5th rounder. I think they're nervous about spending a 1st on a center.

In this case the Pro Day just backs up the tape. Linderbaum is an awesome athlete, and it's harder to ding him at 302 than it is at 290.

Not that he’s the end all be all…but Brugler just mocked Jurgens at pick 55. He’s been shooting up draft boards because he was another guy that got labeled as “limited” because of his size…he’s bigger than Linderbaum. Don’t know if he actually goes as high as 55, but I’ll be surprised if he makes it to our 3rd rounder. He’s the clear cut #2 OC at this point

I think many don't understand 2nd rd grade, doesn't mean a top 32 player. It means he still will be a 1st rd player, just not ranked in the top 18-20 picks.

what? nothing about this post makes sense.

imagine if we have a player like Kelce on our team, our running game would be so much more effective.

Good player but his traits say second round. Green/Zion will probably be better pros because they are bigger and stronger. I am not sure Linderbaum is better then the center we have on the roster now.
LOL. Linderbaum is leaps and bounds better than the C we have on the roster currently. Did you watch him play at all?

How can you say a guy that never played NFL football is leaps in bounds better then a NFL starting center on a 12-5 team. You probably think Trevor Lawrence is better then Dak.

No. I just watch football and can tell you that Linderbaum is better than Biadasz coming out of school. LOL. Stop bringing up 12-5 please. The Cowboys beat up on a bad division which accounted for 6 of those 12 wins. And no I dont think Lawrence is better than Dak. Im on record saying id rather have Dak and I think Lawrence is a bust.

I don’t understand the butt hurt about Linderbaum by some posters. I live in the Baltimore area and Ravens lost their starting center in free agency to Carolina. There has been no chatter or rumors about them drafting Linderbaum. They would rather go with a 6th round back up. Linderbaum has limitations.
Wow you really do HATE him don't you?
What an incredibly stupid statement- ALL PLAYERS have limitations.
Dude you do know most of us here are laughing at you, right?

If we don’t pick him than I am all for picking Zion and maybe signing the Browns C (if he still available). I think his name JC Tretter. Need competition for the position.

Not exclusively, but we absolutely use plenty of zone running scheme. McCarthy and Philbin are the architects of that GB zone running scheme…won’t be surprised the o-line shuffle we are seeing now is intended to get us closer to a full time zone line

Yes he does use the ZBS but Philbins OL have never been very good at run blocking.

He comes from Gibbs tree but he just sucks at running the ball.

I think people have a skewed view of OC's size because our last elite OC was basically the size of an Pro Bowl OG

His Pro Day 3-cone was the fastest time ever for a center, per Marcus Mosher.

Dude is a stud.
