Yeah, so far the off-season has sucked, but there's still the draft and even better there's all the people here to talk to. All you guys here are a huge reason why I even still follow the team.

Just kidding

this really hasn’t been that bad of an offseason. Amari wasn’t some transcendent weapon who was cleaving great secondaries in half by himself. La’El leaving gives you the opportunity to develop a future LT at RT for when Smith’s decline is more severe; What else have you really lost? Randy Gregory was….

Are you going to be significantly worse without him? Probably not. You’ll draft someone, put in Fowler here or there and it’ll be fine.

I've made some good friends on here and even serve on the advisory board for a company owned by a member that I met here. We have become good friends @waldoputty
That said, some piss me off and that leads to me being punished, but it keeps it interesting.

And even when many of us disagree bitterly, if someone is going through a hard time even your "bitterest foe" on here can be a supportive friend in that time of need.

Like so many of you fellow Cowboys fans, I choose to spend several hours a week tossing out my opinions on my favorite team. I really do love this forum we have- It’s fun and interesting and entertaining.

What makes this place great IMO and what keeps me here even when I’m frustrated with how my favorite team is being run- is all the great fans I’ve gotten to know here. It’s like an extended family. I have developed some real friendships with some really great people. Several that I disagree with often! :)

I really do appreciate all our fans who care enough about the Cowboys to write an opinion about them here. This place was never invented to be some kind of country club where we all agree. It’s an opinion forum. And I’m grateful for the variety of opinions served up hot and fresh every day. It’s what makes this place work.

Many years ago I stopped letting the Cowboys’ results in any way affect my happiness or enjoyment. I'm a father, grandfather and cancer survivor who enjoys every day with sincere gratitude. And this forum and the people who show up here and contribute are what makes it tick.

It’s the off-season and so far it hasn’t been a good one. But for me this forum and the great people who show up here keep it fun.

Here an off-season tip of the cap and raise of the glass to all my fellow Cowboys Zone fans who make this place great. Cheers.

I came for football but stayed for the men.

Edit, I stayed for “they” and “them” too.

What about the women?

your 100% correct. Aren’t we supposed to be referring to each other as “they” and “them” instead?

I can never keep up with what the tiny minority of those that dictate the new inoffensive labels we now have to call each other by:p…….that was a long run on sentence

Fan forums are a must. Imagine not having a place to vent during the season of even the offseason. I used to post on the old message boards back in the 1990s. Anyone remember those days? Swami, slaneman, Bear, Mike Wilson, etc? Those days were really fun because the Cowboys were kicking butt and Packers fans (and 49ers fans) could not take it! The arguments were epic! Then I moved to the DallasCowboys.com forums. It was good to comment on the articles there but I assume the writers got tired of all the insults. LOL.

This site is well done and the most of the fans that post here provide lots of good info and varying opinions. I think the punishment for violating the posting rules could be a little less harsh and arbitrary, but I suppose it keeps the site orderly.

Don't know about all that. I was just referring to myself, as I am, indeed, a woman. :D

I love it here. I literally hit this site every single day. Back in the day I would only hang on a Cowboys' forum during the season, but since I found this place, I am here year round. The off-topic area keeps me going!

Loving or hating each other throughout the forum, we all have one thing in common: We are all in this together. Jerry is screwing us all.

What I find particularly strange is that people seem shocked at a bunch of negative reviews considering the results of the recent past.

I've never been so disengaged with this team.

I don't think I've made a dozen posts since they lost to the 49ers. No interest in free agency. No interest in the draft. I just don't care. The only reason I'm here today is because the Kelvin Joseph thing peaked my interest. And I'm already done with it

Which is really sad. I'm pulling out again. I have better things to do. Maybe training camp will pull me back again. We'll see.

I'm in total agreement with those of you who look forward to coming here every day, if possible. Nothing like talking Cowboys football with many here who know what they're talking about and even some who don't. ;) Even during the season, we can usually only enjoy the Dallas games once a week, unless there's an unusual scheduling taking place. Here at CZ, we can partake in some interesting conversations or just read some that are of special interest to do so. Even most relatives of mine aren't nearly as involved with the Cowboys as I am. There are many here who I feel privileged to be in contact with -- just hope they feel likewise about yours truly. I feel we're all fortunate to have so many friends here with a mutual interest. :)
