Ranching's base\foundation is in Coaching -- a profession in which one has his/ her philosophy on how to put together a team to succeed in the sport + the methodology they believe will guide the players to do their best as individuals - but accept and embrace the concept that every teammate is important when they work hard toward the goals as ONE.
Coaches teach, stress, and demand positivity to achieve maximum performance; however they address the negativity of their team's performance - both in practice and during games.
A "pat on the butt" can just as motivating as a "kick in the azz" ; the knack --leading to experience -- is when to use each.
Well trying to coach this forum would be like herding cats.

I see it as fans getting frustrated with the front office.
Our leadership seems more interested in sponsorships and making money.
Than improving the team.

The lack of playoff success has caused many fans to lose faith. The loss to San Francisco really stung a lot of fans. I’ve been on this board since 2009 and I’ve never seen more negative threads than I’ve seen this offseason. Even the fans that usually pump a lot of sunshine have become frustrated and have lost hope.

27 years of this crap with no end in sight will disillusion the most diehard of fans.

I like the fact that profanity is not allowed. If one goes to forums like the Eagles one, the profanity is rampant, boring, and predictable.

So much more enjoyable here, to come up with creative ways to call each other bung-holes and chodes without the use of vulgarity.

It's the only form of social media I belong to

Cowboy Zone members reflect the franchise's fanbase across the world. -- from those who breathe, eat, and sleep what happens 24/7, 365 ...to those that turn on the fan faucet in September, but turn it off once Dallas has played it final game of the (post)season in January.

That one did sting because they told the Cowboys they were coming to take their lunch money and send them to bed without supper.

I was all over that before the game thinking that would get the necessary response from this team but they brought nothing. They got hit in the mouth and then got up to get punched in the head. Even when they mounted a comeback, I could see the Niners weren't worried. They came in confident they were going to win that game.

It stung because we had the home-field and were favored against a lower seeded team. Fans got their expectations sky high after the 50 burger we put up on Philly’s backups in the season finale. Some fans were predicting we would blow San Francisco out even though most of the talking heads were picking the 49ers. The loss to San Francisco was a real big kick in the groin to many fans. Posts with fans tearing the team, Dak and the Joneses down have been going on ever since. It’s been an ugly three months on this board.

Losing to the 49ers in a hard-fought battle would have been acceptable. It would have sucked but been acceptable...but the way these spoiled diva losers lost? Not acceptable.

I could be wrong and probably am, but Bob was in the education business [principle maybe?] and he knows how to handle us kids. Good job

Like so many of you fellow Cowboys fans, I choose to spend several hours a week tossing out my opinions on my favorite team. I really do love this forum we have- It’s fun and interesting and entertaining.

What makes this place great IMO and what keeps me here even when I’m frustrated with how my favorite team is being run- is all the great fans I’ve gotten to know here. It’s like an extended family. I have developed some real friendships with some really great people. Several that I disagree with often! :)

I really do appreciate all our fans who care enough about the Cowboys to write an opinion about them here. This place was never invented to be some kind of country club where we all agree. It’s an opinion forum. And I’m grateful for the variety of opinions served up hot and fresh every day. It’s what makes this place work.

Many years ago I stopped letting the Cowboys’ results in any way affect my happiness or enjoyment. I'm a father, grandfather and cancer survivor who enjoys every day with sincere gratitude. And this forum and the people who show up here and contribute are what makes it tick.

It’s the off-season and so far it hasn’t been a good one. But for me this forum and the great people who show up here keep it fun.

Here an off-season tip of the cap and raise of the glass to all my fellow Cowboys Zone fans who make this place great. Cheers.
I suck. I admit it. Ah well. A man must know his limitations.

Regardless how we lost the game it wasn’t going to be acceptable by Cowboys Nation. We had the home-field advantage and were supposed to win.

Nice thread Bobhaze:thumbup:....Pretty much all we can do is post opinions. While drowning in our tears. Does help get through helpless seasons with Jerry and Stephens inability to field a winning team:facepalm:

I can’t remember an offseason where fans were offered free $50 of cryptocurrency before. What a great organization :)

Reality runs a good and tight ship!
Most of the Mods are fair and good chaps and don't let their personal feelings abuse the powers they have been given.
Fun place and hence the investment in time and Joining the Ultimate Legion of fans club is worth every cent!
P.S.As long as Kskboys doesn't become a Mod here it will be a pleasure to continue to contribute and just hang out in the good old CZ!
Ksk was a great Mod on the old site . One of the best . He’s a straight shooter but didn’t put up with the nonsense dribbled on this site from some .

Yup, I miss the positive threads.....most threads nowadays are negative and depressing
Which is pretty much a reflection of most social media. There are other Cowboy sites which are much more positive like blogging the boys and the Cowboys FB page . Not many trolls.

The Zone does gameday right as opposed to how DC.com let all the threads start up, it was mayhem and hell on the mods trying to keep it civil.

There is some funny stuff in the Gameday threads and I have to wipe the sarcasm off my screen.
Reality runs a tight ship and fair. Makes all the difference in this type of anonymous setting with no other accountability .
