I think the problem is everyone puts so much money into making it a huge event year 1 and it doesn’t return the same investment and it flops. They should start smaller, build a reputation in the individual cities and then go big once it’s a known brand. I had no idea USFL started today, and most casual people don’t even know what it is.

The USFL has failed at least twice. They keep trying to make these leagues work but I don’t see it happening over the long haul.

I am a Cowboys only kind of guy.

I'll never understand why the NFL doesn't do a minor league. Every team has a practice squad. Allow them to field a full practice team for the spring.

I think all the games are being played at Birmingham this season, then they will play in each teams cities next. unless they changed it up some since I read that.

The only one that will probably last is the XFL. Dwayne Johnson is actually investing in it for the players not crazy amounts of $$$. He doesnt need it.

Too much cost and how would they handle FA. What if a team has the rights to a player, but he can’t sign with an NFL team because of that.

Too much wear and tear on players. You can’t just bring a player up to the NFL after they’ve played during the spring. Their bodies wouldn’t be able to handle all that football. They would be injured most of the time and never be able to recover from injuries.

They have a different working model and are not over paying the players this time.
Doesn’t mean it will fail or be a success. But I give them credit for trying.
