Was he in the car when shots were fired out of it in the direction of someone they had got into an altercation with earlier that night? Yes. Did he report it? No. Was that admitted to later when police sought to question him? yes.

Done. Conduct detrimental to the league. It's not a court of law. I wish him well and hope he turns his life around. Just not as a Cowboy. Okay, you had a rough life growing up. That sucks and I feel for you. But if you want to defend this behavior? I have no sympathy for you. Bye.
I feel everyone deserves a second chance. Ive seen it first hand. And your upbringing has made you very intolerant because you've never had relationships with ppl like KJ.

I am not condemning him and saying he deserves to burn! Stop changing the narrative. I'm just saying he doesn't deserve to wear the star. He's a detriment to the team by doing stupid things and risking suspensions for who knows how long.

He signed the contract. He knew what he had to do to retain his job. He violated that with stupid behavior. tough.

How long is he going to be suspended for? Im thinking 8 games at least

That really depends on the wildly unpredictable Goodell. He arbitrarily assigns lengths of punishment on his whims and not any set standard.

But 8 games is possible.

The DA pressed charges? Whats his background check finna say?

He might have made a deal. It doesn't mean he didn't commit a crime. It just means he might get away with it because they want the shooters more.

He still did enough to trigger "conduct detrimental to the league." That's all I am arguing about, really. I hope he turns his life around and realizes these people drag him down.

Failure to Report Felony is a Class A , misdemeanor

And can result in a fine and up to a year in jail...assuming he didn't get some deal. I don't really care about that. I'll let the law handle that. I just want him off the team because he's shown he is not reliable for purposes of behavior keeping him on the field.

Many people are defending this guy stating that anyone wanting this guy off the team are being "Moral police" and rushing to judgement.

Many are NOT saying this guy deserves to go to jail and are awaiting facts, but are saying that his conduct so far falls under "conduct detrimental to the team" (and league) clause and they don't want him on the team because he was a complete idiot.

Those are two separate arguments but his defenders claim that those wanting him off the team are doing the same thing as demanding he should be in prison. It's a ridiculously low-brow and idiot attempt to change the narrative and try to retain a football player because he might help the team. How can he help the team if he's that unreliable and cares more about off-the-field activity than keeping his nose clean while he's on the team?
I'm one of the guys at this point in time that want him off the team. If facts come out that make me solidified in that opinion than so be it. If facts come out that make me change my mind than so be it. But as of tonight, April 17th, with the facts I know I want him off the team.

Partly cuz of the obvious situation he's in. But the main reason is the same reason I wanted Collins gone. Decision making by Collins caused him to miss games. Decision making by KJ is putting him in jeopardy of missing games. This is a football team and if the employees of Jerry aren't available to play then get guys that can play.

Even if he gets suspended all year he doesnt get paid. But y cut him you still have him under contract for 3 years

If it made sense to cut him i would agree but he got 3 years left on his rookie deal. Business decisions arent made on emotions and feelings.

I don't believe so. Under that particular clause they're free and clear if the league suspends him for it.

If he gets suspended by Goodell for the whole year then does that mean he's under contract for one less year or is he under contract for 3 years after his suspension?

Its just like how gregory was. I believe its still 3 years. He will not get paid for this whole season. And forfeits all guaranteed money on his current contract

Conduct detrimental to the league is different. I'm 90% sure he keeps the guaranteed money he already got, but if he triggered that clause they don't owe him anything if they cut him.

Cut him because he's show by his behavior that he can't be trusted to be smart enough to follow some simple rules off the field. How many millions did he risk and for what? That shows a remarkable lack of commitment to the team and football. Let him play for someone else if they even want him.

Gotcha, ok thanks. I was wondering that. I respect your point on not making an emotional decision on cutting him or not cutting him. I wonder how this will play out in court and see what different facts come in. But I'm an emotional guy so that works against me sometimes.

So they should cut him because it would make you feel better?
