Not sure where you're coming up with these scenarios since I said nothing of the sort. I simply responded to this comment (and bolded that part for emphasis) and thought you were incorrect with your reasoning.
I also never said KJ was going to walk after answering questions. On the contrary, I stated KJ may have to plead guilty to a crime (lesser offense) before trail....if there's a trial.
I'd be willing to bet the police did not have the two defendants positively identified but knew who KJ was based on his bling necklace and his local celebrity status. KJ helped positively identify the two defendants which is why they were arrested shortly after KJ's interview. His lawyer's tact at this point is to make the best deal possible for KJ's cooperation, not make the claim that KJ didn't know/observe anyone getting shot.
