Conduct detrimental to the league is different. I'm 90% sure he keeps the guaranteed money he already got, but if he triggered that clause they don't owe him anything if they cut him.
Cut him because he's show by his behavior that he can't be trusted to be smart enough to follow some simple rules off the field. How many millions did he risk and for what? That shows a remarkable lack of commitment to the team and football. Let him play for someone else if they even want him.
So did Gregory as he said. You hold on to Joseph for the same reason you did Gregory: he's potentially really talented and he's cheap. If Gregory was some rotational 6th Round long shot, he'd have been gone from us long ago.
