At least his situation wasn't nearly as bad as Matt Stafford's was in Detroit, but I did think of them both as QBs that could've had Super Bowl rings if they played elsewhere.

Stafford immediately proved that theory to be correct in his very 1st year out of Detroit

At least Tony did have a few decent teams....2007, 2014, and 2009 (before the injuries).
And he never once, in a season where he played most of the games, had a losing season.

Will always be one of those "what-if" players.
Happy 42nd

Romo would have a ring or two if he played on a team that concentrated on winning a Super Bowl that didn’t settle for anything less. He was in a no-win situation here saddled by a terrible coaching staff(and a FO) for most of his career.

Hummmm.
Couldn't hold Troy's Jock.
If it wasn't for Dez sacrificing his health in 2013-14 Tony would be a burp at best.
But yeah, happy birthday Romo:clap:
for sure he couldn't romo was too busy doubling Troys td output and had far less INts on lessor teams, not full of HOFers! he was slinging rockets so he cant hold jocks that your job.

sure troll away

its your best assett. you are blinded by the great teams of the 90s and don't see that if troy took Romos or daks place right bow hed be Baker Mayfield..true story did you see how many HOF played with troy, coaches and Players? those were Emmitt's teams, dont get it twisted, that OL that RB those coaches yes teams win championships and dak and Romo are unfortunately not on great teams.

No fandom could have asked more from a player. Used to make me laugh all of the golfing, Hollywood and Cabo stuff.

He did everything he could on almost every play and never gave up on a play.

He was also the most edge of your seat Cowboys player in team history.

I am also glad he hung it up and didn't try and play any longer. That last injury looked like he couldn't adequately protect himself. Another might have left him paralyzed.

HBD Tony Romo! The dude was absolute magic in the pocket. If Parcells was 5 years younger Tony would have his ring. Jerry, next step is for you to put Tony in the ROH and yes we all know that this is definitely going to happen. Live with it…
