Tyler Linderbaum

My point exactly.......we talking about drafting the replacement of a player that hasn't even been benched. That's a pretty long reach......

you guys are making different points lol. he's saying that being a default starter isn't a deterrent.

I get that but I'm saying we have nothing from the FO that suggest they wanna replace Biadasz enough to draft his replacement with a 1st round pick. As we all know, your 1st rounder is expected to start day one.

The extra 10 pounds likely would have made a big difference for Connor Williams.

Nobody is saying to take him off the draft board. The question is specific to 1st round vs 2nd round.

Recap from my OP:
His size limitation is at the far end of the scale with really short arms (31-1/8" arms, 6-3, 296).
In reviewing the measurables of some smallish NFL OLinemen, I have not found any quality OL with arm length below 32". Not saying that one doesn't exist, but none that I've found.
He was 270 pounds as a freshman and reportedly played in the mid 280 range last season. He might be maxed out at 296.
Players like Rodney Hudson (6-2, 299 pre-draft), were able to bulk up in the NFL (now listed at 315).
Unfortunately, NFL weight listings are rarely accurate making it difficult to compare.
Corey Lindsley, a 5th round pick by McCarthy's Packers in 2014 is listed at 301 with 32" arms.

Olin Kreutz- 31.5” arms
Kevin Mawae- 31” arms

Do those work for good enough comps?

Think Zion is the better fit for what this team lacks.
I like Linderbaum in zone blocking but he is smaller than Biadasz
Zion at guard could be a pro bowler
I don’t know that I would even try to move him
Having a stud on each side of Biadasz and I think he can be just fine because generally one of the guards can help

Understand but I'm not sure the FO agree, especially enough draft one at 24 .........that's my point.
Given the option of Zion who is a very good guard prospect with pro bowl potential and Linderbaum who is the best center in the draft but undersized, I’m taking Zion every time
If it was green/ Linderbaum I might consider center

Agree, power guard next to Biaz, would really help

We can add Alex Mack, Jeff Saturday, Nick Mangold and Dan Koppen to list of centers with under 32” arms.

@xwalker couldn't find any “quality” O-lineman with under 32” arms, but evidently forgot to check the list of best centers of the past 25 years. Quality research

The fact that the organization would draft another center would also indicate they aren't happy with the one they just drafted a couple years ago though.

I don't know how the org feels on the subject but I don't see how anyone can feel super comfortable with TB at the moment.
