How many of us were affected with a rush to judgement because he's a rapper and had some problems in college? I was and can't shake what's programmed in because of the violence that surrounds the world of rappers but his problem at LSU wasn't violence.

In my world. it is wrong to have remained silent when a man was murdered by the two people he was with but I have no idea what his world is like. Am I assuming he was OK with a man being shot and killed because he didn't come forth? I know none of the details, absolutely none but that did not prevent me from rushing to judgement. And I do not think I was alone.

I am going to let this play out and I retract my vote of dump him and will wait and see. And there may be few details forthcoming if the perps cop a plea and this becomes old news.

What I will say is that we are Cowboys fans and we should be used to this by now. There is a pattern established with players like this so we should not be surprised with anything.

Joseph completely ghosting LSU was the biggest red flag for me. Kentucky didn't seem hurt he left there either. I couldn't possibly care less about the excuses. But, there were plenty of warning signs for the front office & staff to identify he has the significant potential to make himself unavailable. Because Jerry Jones and Co. can't help their bizarre and extreme desire to froth at the mouth over players with some talent & baggage and/or injury history that can be had for a discount, we are once again in a situation where a very significant draft pick will be wasted. The list of these types of players is a mile long.
Sure they can pay a talented player less, but who gives a damn if he's on injured reserve or suspended? Who cares if we have to staff babysitters to hold their hands?

Nothing will change until the front office does. And unfortunately, I have it in my head that nothing will change until Jerry is in the dirt and someone else runs the show. My bar is low for them.

G, it is the beast that feeds on itself. What does Booger get the most coverage about? Taking these risk players, it's like a drug to him. He will do that as long as the media gives him what he wants.

all is quiet on the western / joseph front !
I think maybe jones boys have issued commands to media and dpd, and is in the "process" of paying off key witnesses,
so he gets the ending he wants.;)

Here is one thing to ponder on, why did the 2 shooters just turn themselves in ???
Is that ordinary or unusual? I would think they would go into hideout mode, unless someone convinced them that they would not do much time.
Maybe good legal counsel etc. Who is their lawyer?

DITTO couldn't disagree with your disagreement more..
this place has turned into Jersey shore meets TMZ.its rumor mill judging people before any actual facts and true investigation happen. Its stupid..:angry::thumbdown::espn::popcorn::oldcouple::espn::espn::espn::espn:

The beauty of the world we live in, is I have never watched a single episode of Jersey shore or the Kardashians. Nobody is forcing anyone to participate in any thread. I look at the title of the thread and sometimes I just move on. pretty simple and pain free.

Has nothing to do with murder. You biased, self-righteous individuals, always seem to find fault in others, but have your own hidden secrets.
So because someone has something not good in their past a present accomplice to murder gets a free ride?

Sometime I am amazed at the contortions some will go to.

Due process must take place…….140 pages and it all may be moot. But it’s been an interesting debate from all sides.

I choose to remember the Duke Lacrosse team……although they were exonerated, (and rightfully so) some could argue that hiring 2 stripper/prostitutes to perform at a teams house party was putting themselves in a compromising position.

the truth will out

Hiring strippers at a party?/ darn, sounds like something drunk college parties would partake in?

I would really really like to know why this org thinks it's OK to waste 2nd round picks.
go look at the last 4 drafts, look at EVERY team's 2nd rd pick.. Id guess there is a majority of 2nd round picks that were total garbage. Go look at the 2019 nfl draft and peruse the list of 2nd round picks. Whew... tons of superstars are in there......smh

I believe he named them in order to get a deal. His lawyer had already stated he was in the car very early on in this but was not a shooter.

Not the same thing. All picks are risks but to take an injured player or a behavioral one is just asking for it.

I honestly think that they're so inept that they don't understand the high risk-low reward concept. I struggle with theories of Jerry only caring about ratings and dollars etc.. I'm not saying that's wrong, I just don't think it's that factual. I do think that his ego steps forward with his football decisions when he should delegate the tasks to someone else and just focus on the business end of ownership.

success or failure is success or failure. It is the EXACT same thing. Makes no difference WHY you took someone. Was it successful or was it not.

AND, you can not say whether or not Joseph was a wasted pick yet. Get back to me in a couple of years or when he gets sent to prison. Until then..... nothing any of us say matters.

Pointing at someone else's warts does not make yours go away.

Cincy has 5 of their own 2nd round picks starting. Wouldn't it be better to look at the successful models and figure out why they're successful? I really don't understand the point of trying to point at lack of success. So, why don't you go look at the successful teams and see how many 2nd round picks are forming key parts of their team?

The Bengals.... your pointing to the BENGALS as the model team to emulate? How many titles have they won? How many years was between their SB appearances???? No thanks, I will be fine with our teams track record over the Bengals record of success.

2019 - Would you rather have D.K. Metcalf or Trysten Hill?

Imagine where we'd be as a franchise if we didn't take these huge leaps of faith in round 2. We could have potentially another half dozen blue chip type players on this roster. The philosophy in round 2 has got to change. McClay need to adjust his draft board and Jerry needs to shy away from taking these risks. He's still paying for Randy Moss. Unfortunately he's ending up with Randy Gregory instead...
