I think Jerry needs to stop talking about past decisions and trying to offer tidbits of justification.

True or not there is no good to come of this. Think about how Dorance or any d-lineman would feel if they ended up with a nagging injury that kept them out of the lineup for a period of time.

Is this going to be part of my future contract discussions? The truth is yes, but there is no need to create unnecessary tension where there doesn't have to be any.

Jerry was questioned by the media. Had he not answered honestly, some would be complaining he is a coward unwilling to answer hard questions from the media.

The Cowboys made an offer to Gregory. They could have easily taken the language he disliked out of the contract, but they didn't. So in essence they let him walk.

I'm normally one to bash Jerry on anything. But I feel Taco and RG are being a little sensitive. 1. Taco just sucked and was a bust. You don't like people talking about you then play better. 2. RG is showing his colors and immaturity. I'm happy with the decision with RG. I don't care how much talent you have if you're suspended then you're useless. I'd rather have a less talented, but stable player, who's available all the time instead of a talented player who is on and off suspension list. After everything we went through for RG and then he tackles the offensive lineman in the most crucial series of the most crucial game of the year. Yeah I can go with him never wearing the star again.

A lot of fans, me included, bashed Dak for the 49ers loss. Gregory is right up there with playing a terrible game at the worst time. Giving someone who chokes in the playoffs is normally a Jerry move and he didn't do it this time. It's well known I'm not a Jerry "homer" but Jerry made the right decision letting RG walk.

Rg upsets me because the Jones did stick by him when 90% of the fans wanted Jerry to cut him. The Jones gave RG chance after chance how many suspensions did he acquire? A lot of fans including me thought Rg would be a Cowboy for life. Rg uses that clause in his contract saying jerry did he wrong when he signed with Denver with the same clause. If RG is so confident in his behavior that clause shouldnt have been a problem. If Jerry had his concern with RG he had that right to put it in and not remove it. Its done and all parties should just move on I Hope has a good career.
Taco well IMO its just as much Jerry's fault as Stephen's. I hated the pick felt it was a reach but again Time to move on.

I’m glad someone realized how ridiculous that comment was, I was going to start a thread on that topic, the irony of that comment is that DE is still a need on this team.
